Cake Spade (Moved) New Location

It is a very small shop with about 4 tables. The cakes on display look quite huge slices. Drinks available are quite limited.HummingBird Cake ($5.90)This cake is mostly sweetened with bananas, pineapples and coconut, but the taste since to be mostly covered by the coconut. It is a very moist and soft cake.Red Velvet Cake ($5.90)Dark red moist chocolate sponge cake, covered with light cream cheese. I feel that the cake is a bit too dense. I wish for more cream cheese, a bit too thin here.

Cake Spade has been on my "must visit" list since I first heard of it a few months ago. Other than the fact that I've always been attracted to Kate Spade (the fashion brand), I am a huge dessert freak and these kinds of places always have my attention. I was with three other friends so each of us ordered something. On the top, next to the Lemon Tea drink ($3+), that's the Banana Choc Cake. Below that on the left, that's the baked bottom chocolate cake (or something like, I can't really remember)

Dropped by the store after a friend's recommendation. I tried the Strawberry Tofu Cheesecake. A tofu cheesecake has no content of soy bean in it; it basically gets its name because the cheesecake tastes as soft and light like tofu, yet not losing the flavour of a cheesecake. The jelly layer is refreshing and complements the cake that is made complete with the digestive crust bottom. I love how they served the cake in a tart pan.
