Was having a really long walk along the orchard road area with my sister and decided to have a short rest in this cosy cafe. The staffs are very friendly and our order reach us less than ten minutes. I have ordered a cup of their cappucino and was really impressed with the taste of it. Very fragrant coffee bean has been used in making this hot beverage and the generous amount of fresh milk added in it has make it tastes even more nice and tastier too. Canele's macaron is a bit different from TWG one.Canele has more choices and color.I not really like macaron,but i still buy it to gift my friend.The smell of tea and flower is quite nice.But the TWG one has more the tea flavour.It has crispy outer part plus nice inner paste make the macaron taste nice.And the sweetness is also just right.As their looks are very attractive, they are really a ideal present for friend.

Canele strawberry shortcake. I got attracted to it by the look. With lots of cream all over and sugar coated strawberry on top. Looked yummy enough? Inside is made of vanilla sponge cake. The sweetness of the cream was neutralised by the cake. It is really nice, not too sweet and not too creamy and thick as well. I can finish the entire piece by myself which goes to show that it is really worth trying!

If you are those who really have 'very' sweet tooth, this 'very' sweet pastry may delight you. The light biscuits are filled with thick dark chocolate fillings, which is very crunchy. But may not be my flavourite choose of pastry as it is too sweet for me and I find that the price is too high for just a small piece of it. However children may be attracted by its appearance as they can be really colourful if you buy a dozen and the gift box used in placing it is very presentable too.

Cheese fan like me should not miss the american cheese cake from Canele. The cheese used in making it is quite generous in portion and you can taste the fragrant of thickness of cheese during every mouthful of it. It has also baked till with the golden brown texture on it which make it looks really presentable, simple and yet beautiful. Although the price is quite high, but I would not mind to pay for it as it is really delicious and you may even crave for more after your first slice. Simply

Newly renovated Canele at the very last level of Shaw. It's a great hang out place before a movie. I had a cup of ice chocolate and a plate of macarons. I didn't like the ice chocolate at all as it was too thick and a tad too bitter. Tasted loads of cocoa powder. The macarons here are nice but they are not very big at all. They ar eone of the smallest in Singapore! Costs $2.50 + GST for one. The flavours are alright. Nothing special really. Because the macarons are so small, you finish it before you get a real taste of what it's about. The ones at Hilton and Hediard are bigger but more expensive but you can at least taste what's going on. Nevertheless, the colours are pretty and it's always nicely presented.
