Chicken claw black bean. -$4.90. My favour for all Tim Sum visit. Though size look smaller than before. Ha.

White Chocolate walnut -$8.30. Seem like charcoal alike colour. Some cute on first look. The walnuts is sweet and melted at first peel off.

Crippy BBQ pork buns. $6.60 The taste is nice mixtures and serve warm. The buns toppling with some seasoning seeds. Very good texture.

Prawns mango fritter. -$6.60. The crippy skin covered those fresh mango and melt in your mouth.

Piggy custard buns. -$6.20.
Look so cute and piggy face. The salty eggs taste just right when first bite. It really a must try here.

Overall visit was nice and service can be improve to be attentive to customers.

One of their must-try speciality, the pork BBQ bun is really awesome! A bun that is crispy on the outside, yet rich and tasty inside. The bun is wrapped with sweet and juicy BBQ char siew which taste so great when eaten together with its crispy crust.

My favourite custard bun! It's so juicy that the paste will ooze out once you take a bite. It has that great salted egg yolk taste that is totally indescribable. You simply can't resist to ask for more!

A twist to the traditional Chee Cheong Fun in soya sauce, it is wrapped in prawn instead of the normal Char Siew, but still taste good after all.

Some baked and fried dim sums - egg tarts and the fried yam puffs. Awesome!

AMBIENCE
It's really crowded during peak hour as it's the only chinese restaurant around. So it's wise to come early to queue up! Also, I like its purple and black decor which gives one a classy feel to dine in.

SERVICE
Their service staff are quite polite and observant. They would quickly refill your glass of tea once it's empty.

The prawn dumplings were extra order which I've reviewed before. It is not included in this dish.

Char siew chee cheong fun $4.50++
They have several kinds of fillings for their CCF, I bought the char siew one to try. It was good too, with soft and smooth rice sheet and ample servings of lean char siew meat. The sauce was not too salty...quite delish.

Liu sha bao - salted egg yolk custard bunI love this! This may not be the best liu sha bao but it certainly was able to satisfy my cravings as the liu sha's taste was rich enough and did not lack flavour. Yam puff, siew mai, fried beancurd skin prawn roll, carrot cakeThe deep fried stuffs were so delicious too even though they were a tad oily. Their siew mais tasted average though. Their yam puffs were very crisp at the exterior and soft and moist on the inside. The carrot cake tasted ordinary.

One of my favourite Liu sha baos can be found right here at Canton Paradise. While it is a little on the pricey side, it is really yummy and makes a good dim sum feast. For all the salted egg lovers, this is a definite MUST TRY! The inside is buttery and the taste of the salted egg is just nice. Not too strong. One basket costs around $1.60.

Fried soy sauce noodle 豉油皇炒面
This is a traditional HK style breakfast dish. The noodle was very dry and had to been eaten with porridge like they usually do on TV. Nevertheless, this was well fried and had smoky aroma (wok hei), still kinda yummy if consumed the correct way.

$1.60 each

There are plenty of ingredients inside this char siew bao - no corner cutting, and is it rather delicious - more fragrant than sweet. I like it that there're lots of chunks of meat inside this. The pastry skin is not as crispy as Tim Ho Wan's but still good, and it crumbles when you bite into it.

I love the roast meat at Canton Paradise, so far I have tried their yum yum char siew and roast duck. Now its time to order the roast pork belly. Hmm a bit disappointed with the roast pork cos the fatty part is too thick and lean meat is very little thus making it very oily to eat. The char siew also not up to standard as compared to previous visit. However the Yang Chow fired rice did not disappoint and the tofu with prawn roe tasted alright. Will try other items in the menu..Check out my pics

Canton paradise opened at Compass Point early this year but I only recently went to try it. I ordered the liu sha bao which is widely heard to be really delicious but I hadn't tried it before too. SO it really surprised me when I bit into the warm center of this bao and the liquid insides flowed into my mouth, tasting strongly of salted egg. It was a weird sensation but the taste was awesome!
