Went with a group of carnivore friends to have a meaty dinner. Dinner buffet price is $49++, with unlimited servings of grilled meats and a buffet style salad bar (we are not allowed to take photos accept the food on our plates ). Anyway they could have told us politely instead of raising their voice at us.The Brazilian food servers were however quite polite and took noticed of our preferences with different types of meat and came around to our table when specific types were available.I do not eat beef or lamb or anything cheesy so I had the chicken, fish, ham and pork sausage. They were quite good, I especially liked the oily fish (I think is cod). Texture is super soft and creamy! The salad however, wasn't fantastic..just ordinary. The fruit punch I had was not too bad. Sweet and fruity..Food was not bad but service level is low. Won't be back soon. continue reading

It is hubby's birthday tomorrow and we decided to go out on a birthday date in the evening. We had our dinner together at Carnivore located within CHJIMES. This Still Water is so expensive, costs us $8! Hubby ordered the Shirley Temple and he said it is great!I ordered the Orange Cooler, a refreshing drink with orangey flavour. The concept at Carnivore is that the servers will walk around the restaurant with various kind of meats such as beef, chicken, pork, muttons etc, they will ask if you want that and they will slice a portion onto your plate. There is also a buffet table of different kinds of vegetables and salad, for this you have to go to the table to take yourself. I made the reservation via email and told them it is to celebrate hubby's birthday. They prepared a small Tiramisu birthday cake for hubby, such a nice gesture from them! All in all a pleasant dining experience here. continue reading

It is best not to go to Carnivore in large groups! 20 odd friends and I went to Carnivore as a gathering. I do not know if the servers are not used to large groups or something, but the servers are very slow. So we decided to fill ourselves up with the buffet inside with is not very nice. The buffet choices are just too limited. However, the actual meat that the servers gave us is really good! Pity they they are not very efficient. continue reading

well pretty standard package of Brazilian BBQ...in other words, good value for the money.Salad buffer: standardMeat selection: standardTaste: standard.I like it in this way.Service was not that great, staff was not very helpful with drinks...did not even give drinks menu, more interested to sell "sparking water".Meat chefs very busy, oil and meat juices were flying everywhere when we were served. continue reading

If you are looking for a meat devouring session, this is the classic place to go! It is a meat buffet for meat lovers!Tucked in a corner at Chjimes, it boasts an indoor sitting area with a larger al-fresco dining area. There are over 15 kinds of different meats, from beef to lamb to chicken to fish. They even serve chicken hearts! Try the beef ribs, it scores and it is better than the pork ribs!!There is a salad bar with fresh greens, soups and ready food. The meats are served by the waiters who come out of the kitchen at each interval to serve the meat which is skewered on a very long skewer! So, to begin, you are presented with a tag that is double sided and which on one side says that "yes", you want the meat and the other side that says no. The server will then look at the tag and cut you a portion of the meat if it is a YES. In addition, small cheese breads are served along with 2 condiments, one that is to balance the oiliness if the meat and the other the saltiness of the meat. The meats are served regularly and you can request for a particular meat if you have been waiting for quite a while and it doesn't come the second round.A must try is the fish. A tad salty but it is so tender and juicy, Definitely not to be missed! There is grilled pineapples which is another must try as it helps to balance out all the meatiness of the meats! and there is garlic bread too. The meats are wonderfully marinated but do eat slowly as they are all protein and you feel full easily.End that all with a dessert, I ordered a tiramisu and a cocktail. Extremely satisfying meal with free flow of meats. Head there today! continue reading
