We happened to be around that area and decided to pop in at Casuarina to savour their prata. Well..... what shall I say..... it was soft, with crispy edges, but it was not up to my expectation. I have tasted better prata elsewhere. I felt that the curry served with the prata was not tasty too.

I love the idea that this restaurant is right opposite my school! (James Cook Uni) Probably not the best places for good indian food like dum biryani but it's great for lighter meals like the cheese masala thosai - definitely a must try for cheese lovers. I love how the cheese is melted over the masala that's served warm. I did not really like the curries it came with though - I definitely have had better! I also ordered the strawberry lassi which I was quite disappointed by as I sipped chunks

It wasn't prepared properly and the syrup seemed to be stuck to the bottom despite much stirring ):

The roti prata set's are pretty good though. Overall, not a bad restaurant (especially since I dont have to travel too far! I wouldn't make a trip just for this though.

went to try this curry store because my friend say they just gotten some award for their fish head curry but in the end we did not get to try it because we want to eat other dishes instead. i tried the onion with garlic prata, it was ok, quite generous with their onion but i can hardly taste any garlic in it. the unique thing about this store is their prata is the crispy kind instead of the usual soft kind so it gives you a different texture

From what my friend shared and my own opinion:

Ambience: He was surprised by the improvements they've made to the old basic non-aircon store. It was a pleasure to sit down in aircon comfort and eat hot stuff - curry!

Food: We ordered a bryani with mutton this time around as it was lunch. A huge chunk of mutton, bone in was served with lightly (not oily) bryani rice. It was a comfort to note the less oil as we were due to golf after the lunch, and it was a hot day. Nothing like exercise with oily food in your stomach to make you feel sick!!. The bryani was tasy and mutton superb. We finished it off soon enough and we just had to order a plan prata. The prata was not great, overly crisp without the stretch that is needed for good prata.

Value: No more the non-aircon price, but still great food at reasonable prices.

Service: It was just after lunch and staff sat down to eat, not really paying much attention to the walk in diners.

I was around the area and suddenly had a craving for prata. I decided to eat at the famous casuarina curry restaurant. The problem with this restaurant is that sometimes they will precook the prata and will serve them once the customer orders it. In order to get hot and crispy prata, I will normally order an onion egg and onion plain prata. Since onion is a non standard order, you can be sure that they will have to cook it from scratch. My friend pitied me that I have never been to the famous Casuarina and decided to bring me there to try. Heard of it's famous mee goreng and decided to try our the kway teow version instead (simply because I'm not a big fan of yellow fat noodles). When I saw the plate, I almost choked! It is huge!!! The portion is enough for 2 ladies. Ingredients were included sparingly. One might even think that the market nearby is having a big sale. Abit on the sweet side. Wouldn't say that it's the b

The murtabak is huge as well. I have a feeling that every food item sold in this restaurant are meant for giants. I wouldn't say it's the best but I guess I was too full when I took a bite...so it didn't do the food justice. Should try again without the kway teow goreng.

i went to casaurina with my hubby for some authentic indian cuisine. i settled for some delicious tosai. tosai is one of my favourite indian food as it is actually very healthy. it is not fattening as well. tosai is not very oily. it has also a lot of dips. this place tosai is very light and fluffy. the dips are very tasty, goes really well with the tosai. at least i will not feel so guilty eating something this yummy!

i can assure this is the best roti prata in singapore. it has fluffy texture, crispy, layered and not too cook! just like eating a pasty at delifrance. The must-try item is not exactly the roti prata itself, but the curry beef that is the side order for the roti canai. The meat is absolutely tender and never over cooked, it tastes sweet and juicy. i also tried the mee goreng which comes with many ingredient and big portion.During weekends and public holidays this place is crowded , don’t expect

During weekends and public holidays this place is crowded , don’t expect to get any quick service if you are a soft spoken person. Finding a parking lot was not easy as there are open space parking near the residential area.
