Looking for simple and quick lunch, I spotted the Economy Mixed Vegetables stall at the corner. Chang Cheng Rice stall was something like Franchise Branch, it was visible all around the island. Provided a wide selection of food choices, pricing was economy and convenient to public. The stall appeared decent and neat, staffs were in their uniform. Because non peak lunch hours, there was no customer by the time I arrived. They kept their food warm always, bright lightning to show their dishes appealing and tempting. Opted for two dishes, I just need homely and light meal for my late lunch. Braised Beancurd was silky moist, the dish was cooked just nice without too mushy in texture. Full of dark soy sauce fragrant, saltiness of beancurd was maximized but not overwhelming. Another would be stir-fried Tofu with Garlic Leaves, straightforward and delicious. Tofu was pan-fried before, texture was rather tender springy. Asked for curry gravy to dampen my rice, it was free of charge. Total price was $2.50, affordable way to settle a speedy meal.
