For more reviews, visit www.umakemehungry.comOur trip from the West to Jalan Batu was made more fruitful after visiting this coffeeshop. Can you imagine one of our well known Pau is hidden under the blocks? Well, I'm not aware of such until my pal told me about it!Apparently, the coffeeshop only sells local noodles like Laksa, Lor Mee and prawn noodle, and with Tanjong Rhu Pau occupying almost half of the space. Empty boxes were stuck high up and there was aplenty of paus in the wooden trays too. The perpetual queue had given us further affirmation that we "die die" have to buy them back even though we just had our lunch.Honey BBQ Pork Buns was cute in golf ball sizing and probably one can finish them in one mouthful. The savoury pork buns tasted more of our "Rou Gan" in its juiciest form. The BBQ fragrant was really convincing and you won't regret getting more of them. The meat buns on the other hand were equally yummy! Besides having them in the right ratios of skin and fillings, I would say the combination of its soft sweet skin and the juicy meat triggered the tastebud and woke up my enormous appetite somehow. I could stop at just 1 pau even after a heavy lunch!Other Dim Sum items like Fan Choy, Lou Mai Kai are available too but too bad when we wanted to buy their Siew Mai, it was sold out. I will be back for more!

Char Siew Bao of Tanjong Rhu, sometimes known as the char siew bao from Kampung Arang. This is definitely (in my humble opinion), one of Singapore's best Char Siew Bao and it's a hidden gem, tucked away in an old housing estate in Singapore. During lunch time, there would be a queue for buying their Tim Sum, especially their Char Siew Bao !Introducing Chin Sin Huan Eating House Tim Sum & Pau, more affectionately known as the Tanjong Rhu bao, I recalled my first trip years ago in 2001, when the coffee shop wasn't renovated, still pretty much in its authentic retro fittings and furnishings, I had a taste of their very famous Char Siew Bao and today, almost 10 years later, the standards have maintained and it is still as delicious, tasty and wonderful. At the coffee shop, they have wanton mee, that I feel is not too bad. Personally, their tim sum especially their char siew bao is the best and something that I must definitely eat when I am there ! They also have chicken buns, lian rong bao, siew mai and lor mai gai. When you are there, do give the other buns a try too, however, you must definitely try their Char Siew Bao ! It simply melts in your mouth ! Absolutely delicious, tasty, yummy ! The photos I took may not look nice, however, once you have a taste at them, you would be convinced by their Char Siew Bao !This Char Siew Bao is a hidden gem and ranks among the better/best char siew bao in Singapore !Do visit them & try it out ! Do go there earlier and buy the Char Siew Bao because it is very popular and it might be sold out !
