Last time, this stall used to have long waiting lines, but they had many seats after their renovation.

This store no longer using gas because they had renovated their shop recently and all the hotpots are placed on electronic cooker.

I like their china style dipping sauce (sesame oil, garlic, salt, MSG, oyster sauce and chilies).

If you dare to eat spicy soup in fragrant hotpot, please order Ma La Xiang Guo (麻辣香锅).

A warm friendship gathering held at Chong Qing Steamboat, it was the easiest cuisine to fulfill all people’s requirement. Buffet style again, I knew my diet plan was going down the drain. First of all, we need to pick soup in pot. Based head count, we were allowed to choose up to two flavours. Stayed to most traditional version, one was Tom Yum and the other was Chicken. The array of food were all looked fresh and tempting, arranged neatly. We had to take turn to get our food, it was self-service basis. Unlike some of the steamboat restaurant, waitress will serve to us upon marking at order form. All of us grabbed our fancy food and waited the soup boiling, we chatted and had fun. Personally, I felt that a group of people having steamboat will be happier than only two or three people, more joy and laughter. Approximately $25.00 per pax including the free-flow drink, it was a fuss-free party which we need no to clear the mess after that and reasonable price.

The ingredients were fresh and though the place was crowded, it was easy to walk in and out, without bumping into people or tables. Drinks were free flow and there were lots to choose from, from fizzy to non-fizzy to homemade barley.

Ingredients included the normal steamboat stuff like crabs, prawns, clams, cockles, vegetables, noodles or different thickness and processed foods like fishballs, crabballs, crabsticks, taupoks, etc~

It was a very satisfying meal and I'd recommend you this place if you like to eat steamboat!

Lots of variety of ingredients to choose for the steamboat buffet. Ranging from vegetables, eggs, mushrooms, fish balls, meat balls, chicken, pork, fish, squid, flower crab, potato, winter melon, toufu, prawns, clams, mussels, hot dogs and more! The ingredients were quite fresh and there were about 8 different types of dip sauce such as peanut, sesame and soya beancurd.

For $20 flat per adult, this is one steamboat worth going for. Cheap and good. But the service can be quite bad at times - It can be hard to the attention of the staff.

The last time I went to chong qing, I ordered the chicken soup and mala soup. this time round when I went there with my parents, they ordered the tom yum one instead. The tom yum flavor is actually really good, it has this sourness which the mala one did not have. The tom yum was not too spicy as well. it went very well with the ingredients especially all the meat. I found that the meat tasted much better with the tom yum soup as compared to the herbal soup broth. So do try the tom yum broth if

I went to bugis for steamboat with my girlfriend. We love the mala pot from chong qing. We ordered the zhong la, means the medium spicy. There were a lot of yong tau fu ingredients, like tau pok and wanton. They have a lot of different types of mushrooms. The pork ribs soup is very tasty, goes well with the ingredients. They have many different types of sauces to eat your steamboat with, my girlfriend and I prefer their thai chilli sauce, sweetish spicy goes well with the spicy mala soup.

I went with a girlfriend to bugis for steamboat at chong qing. We went on a weekday afternoon so there was totally no crowd, nobody to fight for ingredients with us. We picked the least spiciness as my friend was not a chilli fan. There were plenty of ingredients to choose from, the mushroom itself had plenty of choices. T

Their varieties of seafood was a lot as well. I love their crab, it even had egg roe in it. The both soups are delicious, the pork ribs one is so tasty, everything you cook in it comes out very tasty. The mala is very spicy, but it did give some hotness to the ingredients.
