I was having breakfast at the coffee shop and I saw that this stall was selling 红糟鸡面线. I seldom see if in coffee shops, so I promptly ordered. I was disappointed with the dish. It was just salty noodles in red sauce. Totally no 红糟 flavour.

Pig trotters (Te Kar). This was really good. One of the better pig trotters that I have tasted in Singapore. The meat was well braised and very soft. Definitely worth trying!
Bak Kut Teh. Honestly, I was a bit disappointed with the bowl of soup. I am a huge fan of bak kut teh and the one I frequent the most is Ya Hua Bak Kut Teh. I will definitely prefer Ya Hua's soup over Seng Kee's. The soup was a bit too oily for my liking.
Overall, I had a good experience at Seng Kee Bak Kut Teh. I will definitely be back for the pig trotters that is so sinful yet so tasty!

Right tactic in cooking to bring out the frying fragrance, control of fire as well as timing was precise. Without any meat or lard added, the plate was a truly decent fried Kway Teow. Luscious aromatic in first bite, it was utterly savoury and satisfying. Healthier version did not means worse version, this Kway Teow perked up my taste buds also. Not too mushy or too oily greasy, distinctive texture was pleasant. Ingredients were vegan meat even fish cake, well blended together with flavourful chewiness. Price was $3.50, very inexpensive.

My order was thickly congee with watery half-cooked egg along. With or without the fried dough fritter came to the same price, but pork given inside the bowl were relatively more. The congee was cooked in perfect condition, well-brewed for few hours until silky smooth and tasty. Porky broth dusted with spring onion and pepper, the bowl was $3.00.

The lady smiled at me when she saw me standing there waiting to order. I ordered a plate of $2 carrot cake without telling her my preference for white or black. She did not ask further though so i assumed the default order has to be white carrot cake. Self-service is expected so i waited there. My plate of carrot cake was ready in about 5 minutes. It was served with the chilli and chopped spring onion by the side.

I was eager to have my first mouthful. As expected, it tasted just like the famous Fried Carrot Cake at Ang Mo Kio Central. The chilli tasted quite alike too. A reasonable guess is this stall and that famous stall must have been related somehow. I remember seeing this couple there when the usual lady was not around to man the wok.

The portion given was enough for $2. The pieces of carrot cake were nicely pan-fried and evenly coated with egg then fried it well to give it the desired crispiness. The taste was further enhanced by the preserved radish embedded in it.

If i have to compare, i still very much preference that particular stall over at Ang Mo Kio Central. This plate of fried carrot cake was nice but still not as nice as yet.

I have never liked fried food, but this... okay it doesn't change my opinion much but at least I can now say I've tried it before.

Another popular stall here. I came for early dinner. The queue already started. I ordered the $3 plate. There are also the $4 one. The noodle fried quite well with some wok taste with fresh prawns, sotong and also pork belly slices. The sambal chilli is spicy for me. The texture was a bit wet and tasted nice when eat together with the sambal chilli. The standard is good.

I came here to have dinner. A few tables ordered from this stall so i tried too. I had their sesame chicken in claypot for $3.50 only. It came with plain rice too. The chicken cooked till soft and nice. The sauce did not have much taste. The overall taste is quite average. It is quite filling with rice. It is cheap but not very good. I may be will try others dishes next time.
