Went on a weekday, no crowd. Food is awful. The seafood kimchi pancake is soggy and oily. Seafood soya bean soup is super salty and miserable seafood serving. BBQ pork doesn't comes with vegetable, and I can't be bother to pay more. Side dish are forgettable. For the price and standard, it's a waste of money. I think I cook better than these. The worst part is I vomit after the meal. The worst korean food I had. continue reading

Came here for a corporate lunch so I didnt really take many photos. DIdnt want to look rude. Lol. I wanted something soupy so i ordered the korean seafood ramen. The quantity was huge and the noodles were very qq! Soup was very tasty and you can really taste the seafood in the broth. One thing i really liked was that they also added alot of vegetables in the noodles which makes it healthy. Having tried other korean places, i thought the sides dishes were so so only and not alot of varieties, mainly just kimchi, cucumbers and radish. With the array of korean food around tanjong pagar, I might give others a try before coming back. continue reading

Visited this one before we went to "sampo" ( also at the same street)Side Dish is always the main my concern, and their side dish didnt disappointed me!!! "thumb UP! x 3Kimchi are spicy, but crunchy; pancake is really good tootheir portion is quite big enuogh thru ( for side dish, and it is also free flow)Their complimentary freee drink is TEA, which i think quite nice ( cos some of the korea restaurant just provide plain water)tried thier tofu soup, it is full of tofu, worth the price! "highly recommned it" (but suitable for 2 pax sharing, unless u LOVE tofu so much)for grill bbq, we ordered the duck.... eh... i think it is quite expensive, cos the portion is not so big, of cos waiter do advise us, it is for 1 person.u need to order at least 2 serving to grill urselve, or they will cook for u ( + onion n carrots). NICE!Full of Koreans, and they are short of service crew, cos it is so crowd n busy inside, BE patient. continue reading

My friend use to walk pass Peck Seah St and saw a few korean restaurant there, so we decided to go there to have a try. We picked ChoWon Garden. The place look quiet from the outside but actually their business was not bad. It loooks quiet because their seats was divided by tall walls which provide a more cozy and quiet environment for the customers. They have both the korean style of sitting on the floor and the normal style of place and chairs. And also they do have private rooms for bigger group. The whole restaurant just look simple but with very nice korean dishes. I think the boss & chef are korea. We ordered a seafood steamboat which is around $30 to $40 for 2 pax. Portion was big and is enough for 3 pax. They come with some korean small dishes as appetizers. I just simply love how they seasoned the appetizers such as Kimchi, radish, anchovy, green veg. The kimchi taste really nice, purely made by korean. The steamboat soup was well cooked. However the seafood in it was quite tasteless because they doesn't marinate. If u prefer the chinese style of steamboat then you might not like this. I think the taste of seafood all goes into the soup thta's why the seafood itself doesn't taste much. Just nice to eat the soup with instant noodleOne thing disappointed was the drink they provided in a jar. We were told it was green tea but it just taste weird. Doesn't taste like green tea and we don't know what we are drinking. HaWill go there to try their korean BBQ. However the ventilation there was not very good. Be prepare to be smelly after eating continue reading

Best kimchi soup I have ever tasted in Singapore. Soup is sweet and very tasty. Not too spicy and not too sour. Everything is just perfect. With pork pieces, totally awesome with a bowl of rice. The appetizers are great too. Lunch set is worth it here. continue reading
