Hor Fun - $4
Standard is alright and it tastes as of a normal plate of Hor Fun. What makes it special is that it is placed in a claypot.

Service
Has to wait a while for the porridge to cook. The helper of the stall will call out loud that the porridge is ready. Mentioned to them to exclude the peanuts as I cant bite, however they did not remember.Service is generally moderate.

Ambiance
As this is the food court, there is usually crowd around dining hours. It's hard to secure a seat during these time.

Price
Normal pricing in a food court.

Recommendation / Tips
Hong Kong Boat Style Claypot Porridge is the recommended porridge.
Becareful not to get scalded by the hot claypot.

This claypot porridge was served with century egg, meat, anchovies, and peanuts, sprinkled with spring onions and sesame oil. The century egg and meat is only a small portion but the porridge is super hot and in a big portion. So much so that I alone cannot really finished it. After finishing the porridge, tend to feel very thirsty could be they've added lots of pepper to make it tasty.

I decided to go with my girlfriend to try out the claypot stall at food fare. We both ordered the hotplate tou fu. The tou fu taste really nice, love the golden brown coating and the tou fu is very smooth. the gravy they cooked the tou fu is very tasty and goes really well with rice. there were other garnish like carrots which were cooked perfectly and did not have the raw taste. I was rather satisfied with the food! Finished every bit of it!

I was walking around clementi food fare and the smell of claypot totally drew me to the stall. without hesitation, I ordered their sesame oil chicken with white rice. it was really good, the gravy was very tasty and thick. It went really well with white rice. the chicken was kind of hard to eat though, it had a lot of bones. But the delicious sesame flavor seeped into the chicken. It was very tasty and very succulent. This is my first time trying out the claypot rice from this stall. I was very misleded by the photo in the menu to order their claypot rice. On the photo, the chicken looks fleshy and tender and there's big chunks of mushrooms and big leafy vegetable by the side. It's totally different from the real thing when it comes. First I must comment that their rice was abit too dry with not enough sauce and not fragrance enough. This is a big minus point already. Secondly, I was very disappointed with th

First I must comment that their rice was abit too dry with not enough sauce and not fragrance enough. This is a big minus point already. Secondly, I was very disappointed with the portion of mushroom and chicken that was given. The chicken is almost all bones with little meat and the mushroom is only like three small pieces. The stall assistant was quite friendly though and even asked did I took a clear photo of their trophy. On my next visit, I might give their claypot porridge a try as it seems like there's more positive reviews on that.

Ordered the claypot chicken rice from this stall but i have to say it was a letdown as this is my first time trying out this stall. The sauce barely covered the rice and the whole claypot rice just wasn't fragrant enough. The chicken was also kind of pathetic with only a few pieces of it. With this pricing of $5.50, I don't think i will be back to patronize this stall for their claypot rice anymore.

It was dinner time and the food court was quite packed. We found a seat at the children section. I saw someone eating a pot of porridge. Looked so tempting. I went looking for the stall that sell it. There was a few different types of porridge, I selected seafood, something special. From this picture, you couldn't tell what type was it. All the ingrediients were buried below. The claypot itself was not very hot which means that it was not the authentic kind. It was cooked separately and the claypot was just for show. But it didn't affect the taste. The porridge was soft and smooth. It was tasty and yet not salty. Taste better with some chilli padi.
