This is my second visit to coastes and instead of going there during mid day. I learnt my lesson and decided to go there during dinner when the sun has set and you can enjoy the outdoor ambience.1. Fish and chips $22 The portion of the fish and chips is really just for one. The fish seems big but it's really not. I was a bit upset with their portion of fries. I've had a side of fries before and they were way more generous with the fries then. But with the sea view and sounds, the taste of the food is improved some what. The fish meat was tasteless and the exterior wasn't crispy but rather mushy. It was very upsetting with my first cut into the fish fillet. Don't waste your money with this dish. Their pasts were better.2. Big bad wolf pizza $24This is big enough to share amongst 2. The bacon was very fatty and wasn't crispy but still added a lot of flavour into the pizza. They were pretty creative in this dish and in every slice you get all the ingredients. I enjoy thin crust and I liked this however it could've been in the oven for a short while more.3. Coastes wings $10$10 for 3 whole wings is probably the most expensive wings I've ever bought but it's cooked hawker style. BBQed with lime wasn't what I was expecting but the wings were juicy and sweet with the barbecue sauce. All in all, an okay place for food. Definitely expect to pay more. Hits and misses but I think their pastas is what I will go for if I ever visit again.

Although Singapore is small but we still can find places with the 3S(Sea,sun and sand) in one place Sentosa. Hubby took a day off to go Sentosa with me for sun tanning session. Went to Coastes on Siloso Beach. The waiters were very friendly, they served me ice water once I’m seated. I ordered Fried battered dory fish with salad and mash potato. The big crispy and tender fish with fresh crunchy greens and smooth creamy mashed potato was a classic western comfort food dish after a nice day out on the beach. They’ve got great ambience here and I really enjoyed my time.

For full review and photos, please visit http://thumbsforfood.blogspot.sg/2013/05/coastes-sentosa-thumbsforfood.htmlCoastes is located along Siloso Beach. It is not difficult to spot the blue and white themed seaside bar and restaurant amidst the other beach bars and restaurants. We arrived there in the early evening for a meal and so there wasn't many patrons around. The majority seating area is opening air with rustic-feel benches and tables. I like the ambience which is pretty relaxing with the sea a stone's throw away. There are also several trees around that provide a tinge of greenery. The concept of Coastes is that you will order your food at the counter yourself. The kitchen can be seen through a glass pane. I like the sight of cooks in the kitchen preparing the food as t makes me feel assured that the food is prepared and served fresh. It's really a kind of assurance. They serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages which I feel are average-priced. The Sol costs about $11 while mojito costs about $12. What can be more enjoyable than a cup of cool beer and iced mojito to have in a hand while you enjoy the food and breeze? We ordered a few dishes to share. The seafood platter (about $39) was one of our choices. As many familiar readers of our blog would know, I'm a seafood lover, thus, anything that's seafood would naturally attract me! The seafood platter consists of 6 different kinds of seafood cooked in various ways.As you can see below, They have grilled prawns, deep fried calamari and oysters, stewed mussels, cooked crayfish and sauce, cooked clams and the one in the middle which is covered by a lid is a tomato-based seafood stew. The seafood stew is for the dipping of the garlic bread on the far left. I would say the best out of all is the seafood stew in the middle. It goes really well with bread. The least favorite would be the clams that had an over-fishy stench, that indicated that they were either not washed thoroughly or not fresh.Well, I would say for two people, this seafood platter is a good choice if you're looking for finger food that has no frills. Easy to eat and has variety. I would definitely appreciate if the seafood is fresher and more succulent. The other dish is the seafood linguine in white wine sauce (about $20+). I think the standard of the pasta is pretty mediocre. The white wine sauce wasn't very fragrant so it wasn't appetising enough. If cooked well, the white wine sauce should be able to enhance the seafood taste. I appreciated the generous servings of clams in it. Surprisingly, the clams in the pasta did not have a stench like the one in the seafood platter. All in all, I would say that Coastes has a nice ambience by the beach of Siloso. A great place to get a drink, lie on a sunbed and chill with a couple of friends. But, for the food solely, I don't think it's worth it to come all the way into Sentosa. The thing that was irritating were the flies around towards the end of the meal. Other than that, if you're in the area no harm trying out the food!I would love to visit this place to have a tan on the sunbeds of Coastes with a beer in hand.

Love the outdoor environment here as is windy and lots of fresh air can be found here. Bought the standard breakfast dish which includes crispy thin bancons, that are not too salty nor oily. THe egg omelette cooks really nice, which the egg yolks are half cooked too. The sausages are also very chewy and fragrant too. The tomato bean is the usual, except the portion is consider quite generous.

We bumped into this place for a late lunch. It was really hot on that day and we definitely went for cold drinks. Drinks here are not cheap as expected 'Sentosa price'. Apart from that, we ordered a smoked salmon salad (SGD 16) and a dish of fish and chips (SGD 20). Food were not excitingly delicious, ordinary and standard. But the environment was definitely good, simply like the breeze from the sea.
