Covelli is situated in Orchard Central. Food was decent, and the ambiance was good. Price was reasonable, due to my 1 for 1 voucher \O/Saved my friend money since she was treating me this meal as my birthday cum her first pay treat LOL.(I say one)Complimentary garlic bread which was averageCranberry juice for $3.90 - a total disappointment, with a dismal taste.Pasta pesto. While the pasta was al dente, I didn't like it as it felt a little too firm for my liking. Prawns were generous and large though. My friend love it because it was flavourful, but I felt that it was a tad too oily.Preferred the beef risotto which was flavourful, but I may add that it was a little too salty. The beef slices were delicious as well. continue reading

Having heard of Covelli Italian Bistro & Wine Bar from my colleagues, I decided to host my boyfriend's birthday celebration over at Covelli. Being located at a rather quiet section in orchard central, tucked nicely at one corner, Covelli had a very lovely ambience for their guests, and especially good for dating ;)We ordered chicken bread stuffing as our appetizer, which was quite good (I liked the sauce). Our mains - Wild Mushroom Ravioli and Pasta Al Pesto Gamberi were absolutely delicious and to our liking! The richness of the ravioli cream sauce and strong flavours from the pesto gamberi was unbelievable. Thumbs up!!And my favourite dish of all was the dessert - Profiterole!!! It was so good, I almost wanted to go for a second round Intending to spring a surprise for my boyfriend, I had initially asked the staff to help me bring over a mini birthday cake that I had bought from Rive Gauche. To my amazement, and great compliments to the service from Covelli, their staff spend the extra effort to decorate the plated cake into one that is so beautiful! And their staff were all very friendly and quick to respond to any of our needs. Thumbs up on their service!!On the whole, excellent food and service at this particular restaurant! Absolutely love the place - its ambience, food, staff and will definitely return there as one of their regular customers. continue reading

I love this restaurant! they have good service, ambience and food what more can one ask for!Covelli Zuppa di Funghi ( SGD $14++)We ordered this since it is chef pick. It is actually cream of wild mushroom with white truffle oil. A very tasty soup, the truffle oil blends in very well with the cream of mushroom. The soup is thick and rich. Totally love it.We have Beef Carpaccio as our appetizer ( SGD $20++). The thin slices Australian beef totally melt in our mouth when we placed it in our mouth! way too delicious My main dish. it look so good right!! and yes it taste even better. Kurobuta Pork Belly (SGD $28 ++). Chocolate spiced Pork Belly with porcini mushroom tortelli in hazelnut butter cream and blackberries. An amazing dish. i love how creamy the sauce is and taste really delicious with the pork belly. the pork belly is fresh and not too hard. i like all the food here! way too good. thumbs up! continue reading

Usually i'm only ok with tuna. But when i got a chance to try out this appetizer dish at Covelli, i was blown away by it.Appearance wise, it was good. Done in two ways - seared and tartare, i thought the chef handle this very well. It was delicious and i was enjoying it cause it gave me variety too with the tuna done in two ways. It was fresh too which is very important! Will defintely order again if it's still available on their menu continue reading

Covelli is one of my favourite Italian restaurant that has good ambiance, serves good food with absolutely affordable price. We were served with the complimentary toasted herbs bread while waiting for our food. We ordered two entrees. Covelli zuppa di funghi ($12) is yummy! The cream of wild mushroom soup is served with white truffle oil, full flavours! Crab cake ($16) is a must try. The pan seared crab meat patties is made from generous amount of fresh crab meat, and fried till golden bits to give the crispiness outer layer, and finally served with Mesclun salad and purple tartar sauce. Spicy Chorizo Sausage ($18) is slightly too salty and sour I reckon. The Orecchiette pasta with chorizo sausage is served in arrabbiata style, you might need lots of water after this. Black truffle ravioli ($22) is rich yet comforting. The ravioli filled with black truffle and cheese is cooked in brown butter cream, finally topped wityh grated hazelnuts. Sinfully yummy. Barramundi and lobster ($32) is a luxury combination. Two beautiful fresh seafood are being put together. The pan roasted barramundi fillet and charcoal lobster were served with fresh baby spinach in Gewurztraminer cream. The charcoal lobster is something new to me, lovely crispy texture on the outside, though it might not be so appealing but taste wise, thumbs up. continue reading
