The Price
Reasonably priced at $6.50 for decent portion

Overall
I will definitely come back again and highly recommended to try this!

(We were risking our luck, hoping that it would taste good.) Luckily, it did not disappoint us. Underneath the cheesy layer laid a creamy mixture of crab meat! It made a nice snack while we chit-chat and waited for our other dishes to arrive. It was a little too filling though! We ordered repeated dishes, and the main course which was crab meat spaghetti was free as we hit the 10th stamp! We still loved the cheese and mayo fries due to its generous serving size as compared to KFC or Long John Silver. Last but not least, their soft shelled crab we ordered the previous time which I missed out posting, was one of our wanna-eat-more dish. With mayo as a dip and sprinkled with chicken floss for added sweetness, it was indeed crispy and I could feel the small amount of crab flesh within the shells.

time we came when we saw a lady eating it. My mayo ran out rather fast and I wanted to ask for more, but seeing how
busy the staffs were, I decided not to. We shared a plates of cheese fries for $3.50. The bad thing about this kind of food is that the top layer always tasted so good because of the cheese and mayo. The bottom is always plain and not enough sauce, and we ended up not finishing it. We also shared the calamari rings which costs $4.50. After eating about 2 pieces each, we found that the flour was too thick and ended up removing the flour and eating only the calamari.

I ordered the crab baked rice for $6.50 to try out. Based on the menu, I realized that it was not highly recommended, butthe chicken baked rice was, how odd. we could have more cheese...After our meal, we decided to share the desserts. We ordered the home-baked chocolate brownie for only $2.90. It comes with a scoop of vanilla ice-cream which I found not enough to go with the brownie. The brownie was surprisingly soft and it was really sinful. I find the chocolate sauce quite messy when it was served.

This stall was featured in a TV programme. It's walking distance from my house so i thought i should try it. The Crab Spaghetti is a little pricey at $7.50 given it is served in a coffee shop environment. It came with a good portion of al dente cooked spaghetti with a generous amount of crab meats in tomato sauce then sprinkled with parmesan cheese before served. It was nicely cooked and i enjoyed the taste very much.

To all food enthusiasts who feel that love for crabs is an expensive affair, don't despair. There's a small eatery along Upper Thomson Road which serves various crab dishes at affordable prices. I was the program promoting the Crab Shack on channel 8 and decided to go there for lunch. Due to the popularity of the stall after the airing of the program, there is a lot of people queuing for the food. We ordered the crab cakes as well as the crab spaghetti. The crab cake tasted so so only and a bit oily. The crab spaghetti has a nice sauce and the serving of the crab is also okay.

I took a few spoonful of the Crab Baked Rice ($6.50) and it was good, not too cheesy and for the price, the ingredients are quite generous.

Cheese Fries ($3.50) is a good portion but the cheese used wasn't the nacho cheese, lack that little punch there.

Fried Shitake ($3.00) is not too bad just that the sauce given was a little short, else it will be great!

I think the food definitely taste better eating there rather than take away.

I ordered the crab baked rice for $6.50. If you are not a cheese lover then you might find the cheese to be overwhelmed but it made up by the nice fragrant by the garlic. The amount of crab meat was very generous. This is very value for money. I am going to come again with friends to try out their other dishes like crab spaghetti, fish & chips and the steamed flower crabs. A pleasant surprise.

You might be thinking Crab Shack is such a familiar sounding name and wondering where in exactly you have came across this particular name. If you happen to patronize those eateries in Thomson a couple of years ago then you might have dined or walked past this small eatery by the same name before. If you managed to recall a little then let me tell you, this humble stall and that small eatery located at Thomson years ago are operated by the same group.

They went disappeared from Thomson and made a come back in mid of this year at this coffee shop hide away in a quiet part of Ang Mo Kio. Their operating hours is from 12:00 pm to 12:00 am, daily.

I decided to go with Crab Spaghetti for $7.50. The price might be a little expensive to dine in a coffee shop environment but if taking into consideration of the generous chunks of fresh crab meat in nicely thick savory tomato tasting sauce for Spaghetti, it definitely worth every cent. They do have Crab Baked Rice at $6.50 too. For those not into crabs, they do have Chicken Spaghetti ($7.50), Chicken Baked Rice ($6.50) and Fish & Chips ($6.50) on their menu.

If you want more, you might want to order the 2-piece steamed flower crabs value meal for $9.90 or 3-piece at $12.90. They serve a variety of irresistible side dishes like Calamari Rings ($4.50), Crab Au Gratin ($4.50), Crab Croquette ($4.50), Soft Shell Crabs ($6.50), Potato Salad ($3.50), Fried Shitake ($3.90), Fries ($2.50), Cheese Fries ($3.50) and Soup of the Day ($2.50).

When it is time for dessert, there are Chocolate Brownie ($2.90) and 3 pieces of Eclair at $1.90 for your selection.

If you are looking for something different then you should come by here for a Crab-by day. Recommended.
