Creamier is in a quiet Toa Payoh Estate and the calm outside the shop facade is very deceiving. Step into the shop and the calm oasis is replaced with a packed to the brim ice cream cafe- a hangout place for hipsters and young people whiling their weekday afternoon away. I guess this place is very popular and no longer the secret quiet cafe in a housing estate. I guess this place is very popular and no longer the secret quiet cafe in a housing estate. I am wowed by the plethora of ice cream flavours offered, and I decided to settle on a double scoop ice cream of their Sea Salt Gula Melaka and Japanese Green Tea ($5.50)

The sea salt gula melaka ice cream contained 2 of my favourite flavours and it was a no brainer to select it. The rich palm sugar and sea salt taste came through in equal parts and at first I was really delighted by this unique combination. A few spoonfuls and it started to become too rich and heavy for me- would suggest that you share one scoop of this with someone else. The green tea flavour was bursting of matcha flavour and was refreshing and definitely help cleanse my palate after the richness of the other flavour. Can't wait to try their other exotic flavours.

They also bring in tarts from Windowsill Pies and I will definitely want to try a tart or two with coffee the next time round!

Located at Toa Payoh Lorong 1, Creamier is a stone’s throw away from the busy Toa Payoh HDB Hub in a much quiet neighbourhood area, somewhere that is definitely good if you are in search for serenity.Caramelio Almond is smooth and wasn’t overly sweet, but didn’t lost the richness of caramel. The almond bits added some crunchiness to the ice cream without it getting stuck between your teeth. The waffles here are simply amazing. The waffles here are simply amazing. Fluffy in the inside, it tastes sort of the right blend of buttery and eggy goodness. The maple syrup used is also not extremely thick tasting and hence was not sickening at all. The Roasted Pistachio flavour was considerably lighter than the one I had at Gelateria Italia the other day, but still was rather rich. However, it also contained lesser Pistachio nuts in it as well. The Horlicks Chocolate Chips didn’t really taste much of Horlicks; in a way tasted pretty much nearer to Vanilla if anything. The chocolate chips did bring some of it’s flavour to the ice-cream, but it was not really enough to bring out much of it’s taste.

Not so friendly for large groups as seating gets filled out relatively fast, but it's very cosy and the aroma of the baked goods and coffee is absolutely delicious.

The icecream flavors change and vary and they have special flavors that are usually quite popular. I'm quite a fan of their Raspberry Rose (super fragrant and yummy) and their Pistachio is good too! Try to get flavors that will compliment each other. Sinfully delightful treat

The staff are friendly and are patient to those customers whom may want to try several flavors. There isn't much space in the shop so try not to hog up the line too much! Water is served on the side and it's nice to clear your mouth every once in a while

Would never have found out about this place if not for a recently organised private book event that was held here. Located amidst the blocks of HDB flats, it is very much a whole in the wall. Not so crazy about their tiered pricing for normal and premium flavours though. If you're prepared to pay the extra, go for their Lemon Bluberry Yoghurt or Pistacho. The extra $1.60 makes all the difference, as i soon found out. I settled for their Salted Gula Meleka and Honey Cinnamon Persimmon. The latter was alright but the former was too salty for me. On the bright side, they do give generous scoops.
