Creation Café is nestled at a corner of Level 1 beside T.A.S.T.E Food. Creation café is very small and quite cramped. It is usually very crowded during lunch hour. They mainly serve pasta, all sorts of pasta. For around $12, you will get a soup, pasta and a drink. I would say it is pretty value for money. I decided to try Seafood in Spicy Crab Sauce today. The sauce is slightly similar to Chili Crab Sauce, but it is lighter, less eggy, sweet and spicy. There are 2 medium sized prawns, a few tiny scallops, a piece of salmon and some sotong. The seafood are fresh and not over cooked. continue reading

I visited this cafe with one of my friends. The menu made up of all kinds of pasta and 2 risotto. The ordering is very simple. First - Choose Your type of Flavor for the Pasta. Second - Choose your Type of Pasta - Spaghetti, Linguine, Rotini Third - Set A - Drink and Soup (+3.90) or Set B - Drink, Soup and Dessert (+5.90) or NoneWe tried the Beef Bolognese and Chicken Pesto. The Sauce did not overpower the whole dish and the texture of the spaghetti was very well done. However, the display of the pasta was a little too simple. The plate is too big for the amount of spaghetti. The desserts were OK but we like the apple crumble more. They had lots of seats and the pricing was reasonable. Great place to have lunch with a big group. We will definitely re-visit the place and try their flavors of pasta (laska cream and java curry). continue reading

One of my favourite places for pasta, always crowded during lunch. The set lunch is cheap and very value for money. I like the mushroom soup, not too creamy and the mushroom bits are yummy. The garlic bread is also toasted right, goes well with the soup. Ordered java curry chicken pasta, sounds very unique, and has a very special pleasant taste. Could taste a bit of curry but it's not spicy, very delicious. Tried my friend's salmon alfredo too, the salmon is very soft and the sauce is very tasty too (not too diluted nor creamy). Would definitely recommend the pasta here! continue reading

Creation Cafe is one of the western cafes in Shaw Towers, and it offers set lunches priced reasonably at $9.90! It is a lovely quiet place to have lunch as it isn't very packed during lunch hours. I ordered the Aglio Olio - tossed in olive oil (healthier), taste-wise, it is yummy but nothing special about it. I preferred the carrot soup that came with it though, not too creamy and taste of carrot was authentic. continue reading

Creation Café really exceeded my expectations and after my meal, I walked away fully satisfied, and definitely thinking of my second visit here. Located at the first floor of Shaw Tower, this unassuming, quiet little café seemed rather ordinary and plain. My friend and I was walking rounds around Shaw Towers, wondering what to eat for an early dinner. There were a few other restaurants around, but we were craving for some Western food so we settled for Creation Café.ServiceThe waiter immediately ushered us to an empty seat and found two stools to put our bags on. I was amazed by the speed at which their service operated at. When we sat down, two glasses of iced water instantaneously appeared. I was so impressed that they seemed to manage to read our minds (we were complaining about being thirsty on our way there and were wondering where to put our bags). Thereafter, they presented us the menu and order form which was easy to understand. After we ordered, they collected our form promptly. The more remarkable thing is the level of attentiveness paid as we ate, ensuring that the main course was served right after the appetizer, and the dessert right after the main course. I really liked the fact that they paid a lot of attention and are really thoughtful, even though the prices of the food are not expensive. Usually this standard of service should be accompanied by a certain high price in the menu – but no – their service was really impeccable without charging GST! They did not show any signs of rushing us out even though we completed our meal, something a lot of restaurants would do these days. Food My friend ordered Set A (Soup + Main Course + Drink = $12.80, NO GST/Service Charge) while I ordered Set B (Soup + Main Course + Drink + Dessert = $15.30, NO GST/ Service Charge). It is really very cheap for the number of courses you get, and it is really delicious. The soup that was served was their regular Soup-of-the-day, Tomato Soup. For people who hate tomato/vegetables or don’t like the taste, you will be amazed by how they managed to turn something as disgusting (in my opinion) into something so heavenly. Seriously, this soup is damn delicious!!! It is sweet, a little sour and really very delicious. I ate every single bit and wished there was more. For the main course, I ordered the Italian Sausages Tomato Herb Sauce with Pasta. There is the usual array of pasta types you can choose from – Spaghetti/Fusilli/Linguine/Penne/ etc. While the main course itself is not as extraordinary as the appetizer, it is still quite delectable. There were tiny bits of sausages and tomato base paste. Maybe next time I will try some other flavor instead because this is quite normal. As for the dessert, I chose Apple Crumble with Ice Cream (choice of vanilla and chocolate – which I chose Vanilla). I was very full at this point, but then again, I always reserve a secret compartment in my stomach for dessert ^_^ This Apple Crumble is really sweet and indulging. Every bit of it feels very real, you can taste the real apple bits in it. It is warm and the ice-cream is cold, so when mixed together, it’s really one pleasing combination that makes you feel so happy and blessed. That’s what desserts should make you feel! Originally I wanted to continue to eat ice-cream at Tom’s Palette just round the corner, but I was too full! Haha! Ambience Quiet, relaxing place to hang out with friends without feeling the stress of speaking too loudly. It is suitable for friends, colleagues, couples, family to hang out… really a wonderful place! Price Being a budget eater, I don’t like to pay too much for my meals especially when it’s not worth it. $15.30 for an appetizer, main course, drink, and even a dessert – what more can you ask for? Plus impeccable service, a lovely ambience, and delicious good food… you just need some delightful company to complete this absolutely perfect meal. I'll definitely come back to try some of their other dishes next time! For more food adventures, follow me at http://spherepiece.blogspot.sg/ continue reading
