Chose Dallas along the Singapore river. It was really empty on a Sunday night! Perhaps due to it being a non working day - No office workers staying back for drinks! We sat near to the river outdoors and it had a weird smell from the river. we then shifted places away from the river. Ordered Roast Chicken and Penne Pasta. The serving size was good. The pasta had a little spices and was aglio olio style. It came with shreded chicken meat. Initially i thought that it would be a chicken patty! My friend ordered duck confit but it was not filling. The meat was not too dry and was average. A little pricey though. Service staff were not too friendly as well. continue reading

Dining at Dallas Restaurant can be really costly but is definitely worth your every money as their food taste really good! Have bought their signature dish, which is the Roasted crispy chicken ($24) which the chicken meat is really delicious and is super juicy and tender. It is not too oily and flavourful. French fries are very crispy and not too oily too. Fresh crunchy lettuces which goes along with it is very healthy and delicious. Service here is super friendly and prompt in service. continue reading

Dallas is located in boat quay, and has rather good ambience, be it for a meal or just for drinks. I was treated to a 2 course meal some time back by my friend, and I chose the chicken cutlet baked with cheese - it was good but a little too oily and the amount of cheese given could be more. Cheesecake as dessert was average though. I think the 2 course meal costs about $24++, and a 3 course meal costs $30++. continue reading

Dallas Restaurant and Bar is conveniently situated (for the Raffles Place crowd) at Boat Quay. The furnishing is really quirky and American-inspired: on the first floor is that of a cowboy-theme whereas the second floor has a classy theme much akin to a restaurant. The bar snacks were not too bad, albeit a little expensive. We had the salt and pepper calamari. The squid is very chewy and encapsulated in a delicious batter. We also had fried chicken which we found was as good as the fried calamari. continue reading

It was the first time i have ever been to the restaurant, and it is quite a romantic place to go at night. Al fresco dining area faces the Singapore river, with sea (or river) breeze on a cool evening out with your date. I had the 2 course set meal ($24++), and chose the mains and dessert. For the main dish, i had the Avocado Chicken Parmigiana. The portion is huge! And the chicken is pan-fried with breadcrumbs, topped with pasta sauce and generous servings of cheese and avocado. Yummy! I shouldn't be greedy and get the set meal, cause this portion more than enough for my tummy. The dessert was chocolate lava cake with a scoop of ice-cream, and its heavenly. It was such a pity that I was too full to finish the dish. continue reading
