We ordered the Claypot Laksa when we were here. There's quite a lot of people here and may be hard to get a seat at times. There is limited carpark lots. It's a little sickening I had to queue at the carpark and queue for this. But eventually close one eye and it'll be all worth it.

The FoodI ordered the big Claypot Laksa and the fragrant smell was already oozing out from the claypot even before I even taste it. The gravy was thick and very fragrant and the bee hoon has absorbed the goodness of the coconut milk gravy hence making it very tasty. Inside got fresh ingredients like bean sprouts, cockles, shredded chicken, tau pok, fish cake and prawns. The Price
Reasonably priced at $5.50 with generous portion

This is one of the best Laksa I have ever tasted hence highly recommended!!

Claypot Laksa

As you can see, the gravy is thick and rich. I'm aware that this would be unforgiving on my waistline, but all I could think of at that time was that this dish is sure worth the calories and fats consumed. There was sufficient coconut milk, curry flavouring and spiciness in the gravy concoction. I love thick thick curry but one thing that could potentially turn me off is when it becomes cold, because it'd be too "jelat" for me with all the sauce coagulating in a corner of the bowl. I guess the use of claypot in this case was a smart idea; it kept the food bubbling hot for a long time as I ate, which felt like a luxury. The best part was that the ingredients, especially the tao pok, soaked up so much of the awesome thick and rich gravy that the moment i bit into it, all of the tasty gravy splash out inside my mouth. Shiok!

This bowl of laksa has extra rich gravy which is oh-so-good!! Zhen Shan Mei claypot laksa is definitely the best laksa I have ever eaten in my whole life. I'll prefer this over the famous katong laksa anytime!! They usually have queues when I go but it is worth the wait! This sinful cholesterol-laden bowl of goodness is the bomb! It is quite spicy though, so I don't need to add extra chilli.

This claypot laksa used to be under my block a few years back, but has since moved to depot road. Well, I'm glad it did, because I'm practically eating from this stall everyday when it was there. For $3 a bowl, you get top quality laksa gravy, very creamy and lemak! What makes a true winner is the great value you get. Not only the taste is good, but the portion is also quite big for $3. Lots of noodles, fish cake, tau pok and 2 prawns! It's also not too spicy and can be generally accepted by most

had to queue 15 to 20 min though it was already 2pm but it was really worth the wait. the laksa gravy was hot thick and flavourful, a must try for spicy food lovers! the beehoon was also well cooked and went well with the delicious gravy. there were prawns, tau pok and chicken slices (i did not want cockles) which were fresh and tasty. i will definitely patronise the stall again!

Served bubbling hot in a claypot, a $4 bowl of laksa comes with thick mouthwatering gravy that complements the noodles very well, as well as generous servings of fresh cockles and prawns. Yet another claypot laksa. I had one recently and like the idea of having my laksa cooked and served in a claypot. I somehow thing that the claypot does gives the laksa a special taste. The tau pok was awesome to eat cos it absorbed all the gravy of the laksa making it very juicy. Really enjoyed this bowl of laksa.

You can’t miss this stall with its neverending queue. I was there with my hubby at 1:40 and still there is a queue. We had to wait for around 20minutes before we can finally sit down and have our laksa. The laksa is very rich in flavour and taste due to the generous use of coconut milk. I added more of the chilli into the laksa to have a more spicy soup base. Each cost $3.50 and the portion is just right for me, but too little for my hubby, so for males, perhaps you should order the $4.50 portio

Truth be told, I really don’t get why there are snaking queues at this stall. After trying it out, I feel that the laksa isn’t that fantastically good to make me wait in line for so long (35mins). The laksa no doubt is more rich in taste and is better than the average stalls. However, besides the long waiting time, another deterring factor is the price. At $3.50, I felt that the ingredients are quite little and for an average eater, the $3.50 portion is only going to make you 70% full. Overall,

Depot Road Zhen Shan Mei Claypot Laksa is honestly not just any ordinary bowl of laksa! It is served in a claypot which not only helps to keep the laksa piping hot, it also at the same time retains the moisture and fragrance of the laksa gravy. Super nice! The gravy is not only thick and rich, it is also bursting with fragrance due to the coconut milk, chicken and prawns to make it alittle sweet too! Awesome! Im gonna bring my mum here soon!

I have very high expectation of this laksa after reading the review from Ieatishootipost, and it doesnt disappoint me!! Although the foodcourt isn't that clean and nicely furnished, there were celebrities coming down to try out this heavenly-good food. And you can imagine the queue, esp during lunch hour. But it is definitely worth waiting.

Small reminder:
I saw in this link >> http://sparklette.net/food/depot-road-zhen-shan-mei-claypot-laksa/ who mentioned that the opening hour was 8:30am – 3:30pm (Closed on Mondays). But I had this on monday! So I hope you best of luck, better try it out not on mondays =D And I'm very lucky to have the opportunity to try this out on the closing day XD

Sell in 3 sizes: small ($3.50) medium ($4.50) large ($5.50)
Anyway the small one already very enough for me, as it was very thick and rich, small one is almost equal to the normal size of a bowl of noodle.

Claypot laksa !!
The gravy was thick and rich in flavour, with the additional chopped parsley sprinkled on top that added some smell into the bowlful of awesomeness. Noodles were great; stuffs were generous too: fish cake, hum (cockles) and chicken shreds.

The claypot not only keeps the laksa piping hot, but at the same time also seals in the moisture and fragrance of the gravy, so after wasting some time snapping photo of the food, i still can have hot hot laksa in the rainy cold weather. And this just warms my stomach up and i feel so blessed to have this!!
