Din Tai Fung is a decent enough restaurant, with good service (depending on where you go) and acceptable food. The queue in the evenings can become really long. I like the "xiao long bao", where each of us can finish 10 each easily. The fried rice with pork cutlet is also quite worth it for its money; something about fried rice in restaurants (like Crystal Jade and Din Tai Fung) intrigues me because they taste different from zi-char. Maybe it's the soya sauce..

The ideology of fried rice is simple, it means rice mixed with a bunch of ingredients. Really, that’s it. Eating at Ding Tai Fung during lunch time, I ordered a luxury fried rice. Some finely chopped spring onion green were added-in, it was delicious and very satisfying. That was the reason why I believe this Shrimp Fried Rice was the most popular among all Chinese Fried Rice. Of course, maybe this was a little high in calories, but it was still decently healthy.

Heard of Din Tai Fung's famous xiao long bao. Decided to try it out with my family and boyfriend. Served chinese tea while we waited for our xiao long bao. Steamed wine chicken. The portion is very small for 4 of us.The xiao long bao was served on our table. 10 pcs for us to share. Vegetable dumplings. It wasnt very nice, should have ordered another xiao long bao. Chicken was well marinated with their specialty sauce. We like it! Seafood fried rice. Ordered this as we arent full from the dim sum

I cannot describe my love for xiao long baos! Ever since I tried Ding Tai Fung's xiao long baos, I find myself wanting for more and more and more! It is easy to pick up the xiao long baos without breaking the skin. The skin is not thick though! The soup broth is very fragrant and goes so well with the meat and skin. It also goes well with the chilli! The chilli crab xiao long bao was okay though. I will prefer the original xlbs anytime!

Xiao long pau here is really delicious and yummy with the hot piping soup wrapped in the not too thick dumpling wrap. The soup in the xiao long pau goes really nicely with the meat and you would need to eat up the entire xiao long pau in one mouth to prevent the leakage of the soup. The dumpling goes really well with the vinegar and the sliced ginger. Love the siew mai also as the prawn is juicy and succulent.

The service in this outlet is quite good. The staff is very alert and prompt. The serving time is quite fast during lunch time. The pork chop noodles is good. I would recommend it for noodles lover. The standard for the xiao long bao is the same as other outlets. My family likes the food, especially the xiao long bao, where each of us can finish 10 each easily, on top of the other dishes.

When ever you head to Din Tai Fung, it is a must to order their Zha Jiang Mian. by far, their zha jiang mian is one of the nicest i have tasted already. the minced meat they used is very fresh, i love the texture of the meat. the sauce is really good, the amount they give is not a lot but just right to mix with the noodles. the noodles itself is really good, very chewy yet does not stick to the teeth. when you mix and the sauce with the noodles, it is indeed heavenly!

We would get a queue number from the staff and would hand around the entrance first.
The time spent waiting would be used to decide what we shall have for dinner later on.
They provide you with the order paper to fill in your orders first so you can send in your ready orders once there's seats available!
Both of us decide to split the Fried Rice with Shrimps & Eggs and Steamed Pork Dumplings (Xiao Long Bao) between the two of us.
One of Din Tai Fung's signature dish is the Xiao Long Bao which i think it's a definite must try when dining there

Lucky we got a seat quite fast and have our orders sent in.
There was about less than 10mins wait while the food arrives!
First up is the Xiao Long Bao which is served by the chef and is piping hot, yummy!
The moment i picked it up, i have to be gentle with it so i won't poke open the dumpling skin!
It's very shiok to eat it in one bite and have the succulent soup and meat taste burst in your mouth!!!!

And the Fried Rice with Shrimps & Eggs is super tasty too, one of the best fried rice i had.
It was very well fried and you can taste the freshness of the prawns.
I believe it's crystal prawns being used that has the QQ taste

Overall it's always great to unwind on a Monday with Din Tai Fung for dinner!

Xiao long bao is a little bit dry, but overall not bad. The mushroom mee is not very nice but the wild mushroom is delicious with the sauce that rich in flavor
. The dish would be good if the mee can be cooked at a longer time letting it absorb the water moisture thus making it soft and "q"

Fried rice with egg is good ! I guess they too use overnight rice as fried rice will taste really delicious especially when it is overnight rice! The meat? It is a little bit to the tough side but if you are young and have a strong and healthy teeth, it is not too bad afterall, right!

Xiao Long Bao from Din Tai Fung is very famous too! (:Look at the appearance, it looks consisitent for the amount of flour wrapped around the mixture of meat and xiao long baos are evenly spread to achieve the same cooked taste!Inside is meat and vegs with soups, therefore when you are biting it, becareful of the hot soup that will brust out from the xiaolongbao! (: it's yummy!

This chinese restaurant is always filled with lots of people during daily lunch and dinner. They seldom allow reservation so is always recommendated to be there early to avoid the long wait outside this restaurant. My favourite here will be their zha jian mee, which is fllled with generous amount of fragrant braised minced pork on it that are very juicy and tender. The hand made noodles are also very chewy and goes well with the minced pork.

My partner came back with a box of dumplings from Din Tai Fung. It was 4 of the dumplings in a box. These dumplings have got a thin chewy skin with a generous bit of filling consists of mainly of minced meat and chopped spring onions in it. The skin got a bit hard when it turned cold but still quite tasty. A small container of vinegar with shredded ginger was packed along with those dumplings. I reckon these dumplings would taste much better if eaten hot in the restaurant.
