Both of us decide to have the xiao long bao to share and the prawn fried rice that i highly recommend to cloud
So far i think thats the best fried rice i had though a little pricey. The prawns were fresh and the egg was fried flavor-fully into the rice so that its very fragrant! And i love that the chef or assistant would serve the xiao long bao fresh from the long onto your table! Just biting into one and having the soup flow out is heaven
Pair with some ginger slice and its even better with some spiciness

No surprise to the store @ Bishan! my partner and i queued more than 20min to get it... and we was given a 4-seaters table instead of 2! reason being they do not have 2 seaters @ that moment... frankly i do think that they should convert those four seated sofa seats into those joined table... so that they can split the table and allow more ppl like us to come in at a time...

As usual, we ordered the Xiao Long Bao, standard is there as usual.. but just depending on your skill when you pick the xiao long bao up... if you are not careful enough... the "soup" will slip out before it goes into your mouth...

FYI, the "soup" that is inside from the xiao long bao contains alot of OIL! and it looks normal.. but the calories count is very very high.. that's what i read from somewhere on magazine...

anyway who cares right? eat first then think about it later! haha...

Egg Fried Rice with Pork (Very Very delicious, must try) the egg yolk is like combine together with the rice, and the fragrance of the whole dish is so strong... although i must say it is a little bit oily, you will notice when you finish the dish because it is on the plate.

Shrimp and Pork Wanton Noodles Soup - soup is great... it is always good to order their ramen with some wanton or dumplings... reason because that's when you can taste a few piece of the wanton or dumplings and have the soup and noodles too!, but if you order the wanton or dumplings as ala crate, you will only get either the wanton and noodles...

overall experience is good.. just hate to queue for it that's all..

to check with the waitress if there is any credit card promo.. because they usually have!

the tofu vermicelli by my friendThe chilli oil wanton I love their chilli pork dumpling in vinegar thing. It just tastes so good I can't stop eating it! It costs $1 per dumpling, which is only a very small dumpling, but it is very good with the chilli and the vinegar. I noticed they have vinegar and chilli on the table anyway so you could just add that to any of their dumplings! This is their original dumpling. Recommended..

Ding Tai Fung always have a long queue. So i seldom go eat. This "Hong Shao Beef Noodle" is no bad.It got a bit taste of wine,or it is just my feeling..?I'm not sure, but the beef is quite tender and flavourful. The soup is quite nice, but is abit oily,i can see the oil full on the surface of the soup. But my friend said that beef noodle is like that.So i still can accept it.The xiao long bao is also ok only,i thought it will be very nice, but it is not.Really out of my expectation.

The "fried rich with shrimp and egg" is a must call dish because the rice is well coated with egg and retains a bite to it. Besides that, the fried rice is studded with whole pieces of whole shrimp!!! Some more, the rice is not oily and salty!!

The second dish is the " noodle soup with shrimp pork wantan". The broth is light and nice, combine with the shrimp pork wantan is really the best combination!!

Lastly will be the most popular dim sum in Din Tai Fung which is "steamed pork dumplings". The dumplings come in 6 pcs per tray. The skin of the dumplings would not break if you using chopsticks to pick up them and you can see the soup swish within. The method of eating these dumplings is actually bite off the top first, and then slurp the soup before comsuming the rest fo the dumpling. The taste of the dumplings is really can't explained by words! You would have to experience yourself and find out how delicious the dumpling is!

Baos at Din Tai Fung may taste quite a disaster. After 5 mins, the waitress called for our number and brought us to a VIP room. It's still not our turn yet.

Personally, I don't really like Ding Tai Fung because I don't find the $ spent is worth for value. They are too expensive. A simple fried rice in small portion with only egg & rice costs $6+, a small serving of veggie costs $9+. But, I am really impressed by their consideration & caring. We were given priority because we have pregnant lady & elderly.

Good service!

The dish to order is always the xiao long baos, but I decide to deviate from the normal for once and get the steamed vegetable and pork dumplings instead. It is very good as well. With the vegetables, the dumpling feels lighter on the palatte as there is a balance of meat and vegetables. Like its xiao long bao, the skin is also very thin which really makes the dumpling so much more delicious. It is great tasting on its own without needing to add any sauce or vinegar.

If you read up the menu, at the last page of the menu, it stated that, each and every xiao long bao has eighteen layers. after a count on few of the ten, it is true that each and every xiao long bao did has eighteen layers to seal up. And if you manage to find one without, i think they will give you one free basket something like that.
hehe....so try to count bah
