Again, we bought fried meat ball stick and fried chicken stick when we passed by 'Dong Dae Mun' stall. Oh my godness, we just couldn't resist to buy it. The golden skin with juicy meat inside. They were looked so tasty!! How to choose what to eat? Most of the food selling at 'Dong Dae Mun' are fried one. This is what we finally bought last night. Non-stop eating without any hestitation. The meat ball and chicken more tasty when come together with chilli sauce and mayonaise.End of our day finally.

i had the urge for snacking so when I passed by dong dae mun, I decided to buy their chicken cutlet. They have the chicken thigh or chicken breast to choose from and the price vary by 30 cents. I opted for the chicken breast which only cost $3.50. the portion of the meat is really huge. The batter they used to coat around the chicken is very crispy. The meat is tender and juicy despite being deep fried. They also have a lot of condiments for you to eat with your chicken. It was pretty satisfying

After a walk at bugis junction, I decided to go for some snacks. Found this korean stall at the basement of bugis junction and decided to try their spicy rice cake. This is actually my first time trying this rice cake as I can hardly find it in singapore. The gravy wise is not too thick nor waterly, has a hot and spicy flavour which is suitable for people who like spicy food. As for the rice cake, it taste quite bland and texture wise is soft and very chewy texture which has similar texture like the pearl that we drink for bubble tea. Portion wise is quite reasonable with around 10 pieces of rice cake given and price at $3 for the normal size and $4 for the larger sizes.

korean spicy rice cakeAfter much pondering, we decided to settle for the Korean rice cake. It cost us $3 a bowl. The portion was quite small. But,I love it as it is spicy enough to give you the kick. Other than the rice cakes, there were also other ingredients inside which were equally tasty as well. All very delicious and goes well with the rice cake and sauce. The rice cake is very chewy, but it is abit sticky. It stuck in my teeth.

Bought a stick today, the meat is getting a little smaller in size, but it was still tasty, i like it a little hotter, the BBQ sauce was a little salty. No surprises and no urge of wanting more. Though they put it on a hot pan and heat it a little, but it made almost no difference as it was neither hot nor warm when i bite it. It is selling a stick for $1.00 or 3 sticks for $2.80. Fairly affordable.

If you are really found of eating kim chi, this kim chi noodles willl also at no surprise impress you too. The noodles are really thick and chewy and the portion is really big. Lots of fresh crunchy kim chi are added to it which make the soup really spicy but at the same time very fragrant too. not sure if this is authentic korean but it was pretty bad. it was so oily i almost threw up. took a while to wash the oil off my fingers as well. it's supposed to be a potato pancake. they cooked it after i ordered it so had to wait awhile. i added mustard and it was good. you can add other sauces like chilli, mayo, etc. not recommended. took me a long time to choke this down. there are other vegetables in the pancake but i have never had such oily pancake in my life.

I'm always a Korean food lover. I like to try all sorts of Korean food. Of all the Korean food, I like the Korean rich cake the most. Tried the rice cake at dong dae mun. It costs $3 a bowl which is quite expensive because it is quite a small portion. The rice cake was being cooked perfectly and spongy. I love the soup base as it was spicy. There are other ingredients inside such as cabbage and beancurd. The ingredients match with the rice cake perfectly.

However, as it is a snack but nothing of sort to represent Korean street snacks whatsoever, the balls were most likely made of flour and wonder flour to make it quishy, and tasteless with the fried bread crumb layer, the only flavors were made from the hefty amount of squirt from the mayo, chilli and tomato ketchup filling the entire plastic. It's only as a mere snack to bite off and serving nothing else to dream off your tongue.

Wasn’t too hungry that day so I bought this crispy small chicken in a small bowl.(:The price was quite high though, at $3.50 each.I added the mayonnaise sauce without the chili sauce. I like how the chicken taste but dislike the way the outer is over fried. It was actually partially crispy, but most of it was too hard that it became difficult to chew:/Considering that the chicken is hard and the price is quite high for a small portion, I may not buy it again.

On one of the day when I decided to have a light dinner, the Dong Dae Mun store just appeared right in front of me and I knew my dinner was settled. I ordered the Korean rice cake. Therefore I would recommend this dish highly if you are looking to settle for a simple meal.

Usually I would only go for their spicy rice cake whenever I am craving for something korean and I just thought I will try the Fried Chicken Cutlet for today instead. Thankfully I had mine without putting the mayo.

i ordered the huge chicken cutlet, spicy rice cake and a spicy pancake. the crispy chicket cutlet was very delicious, upon order, the shop vendor will fry the chicken for u. afte which another vendor would ask u wad sauce would u like to go along with it. they have mayo, mustard, tomato and chilli. the mustard and tomato sauce really goes well with the chicken. this is the same for the spicy pancake, it is fried immediately upon ordering, then u can choose which sauce u wanna have it with, my take is the tomato and chilli. the pancake is very chewy and have a tinge of spiciness.

the spicy rice cake is AWESOME! taste exactly like the one i tried in korea. the rice cake itself taste super chewy, yet it does not stick to ur teeth. the sauce is thick, tasty and spicy all at the same time. really blends well with the rice cake!!!
