Located at the basement of Lot 1, next to GongCha, is Dong Dae Mun. It is a stall that sells Korean street food and has tons of branches across the island. I think the rice dishes are rather new so I decided to give it a try. This is the beef set and it comes with rice and kimchi. The beef is stir-fried and is only fried upon ordering so it is piping hot when served. The portion of the beef and the rice is quite big. However, beef was quite bland albeit being rather soft. Would liked to have more gravy in the beef as well. According to the other reviewers, the rice cake is quite nice. Will try that next time! continue reading

My girlfriend and I saw a lot of people ordering the kimchi pancake from Dong Dae Mun so we decided to give it a try as well. their kimchi pancake is very reasonably priced, only $2.50. It was not too spicy. there were two versions of the pancake, one spicy and the other not. The pancake was more of chewy than crispy. it was in a circular shape where the cook flipped it into half and cut it into 8 slices. It was pretty easy to eat and best eaten with the chilli sauce that they have. continue reading

I was really craving for korean food so i went to dong dae mun to get myself a kimchi pancake. their pancake is pretty good, too bad they do not serve it with its authentic dipping sauce but instead serve it with mayo and chilli sauce. the pancake tasted delicious on its own without sauce. it was very chewy but does not stick to your teeth. there were eight pieces in all. i found it quite filling. continue reading
