Nowadays i hardly go to United Square so on a rare recent visit, i had to take a look at this bakery. Always see it on Instagram featuring lots of yummy breads. But too bad.... I came rather late on a weekday night so not much selection. After looking around, i decide to get the Farlona Bread $3.30 to try. Since i'm there already, might as well get something. Had it for breakfast on the next morning! It's not the super soft kind of bread but has a nice chewy texture to it. Love the cranberry in it! It's quite a big portion that i end up having it for both breakfast and lunch. Will definitely go back again as I'm keen to try something else - cranberry cheese! This time i will go earlier =) continue reading

Duke Bakery from Taiwan has recently opened an outlet in Singapore. It is known for its healthy baked breads. As it is almost closing for the day, there is not much variety of breads available on the shelves for sale. Most of the breads also have samples for one to try. But still I have managed to get myself the Crown Signature Artisan Bread which costs $5.50 each. It is like 5 buns joined together, and made of grape ferment and rye power, with inside filled lots of cream cheese. It tastes soft and creamy. I like that it have huge amounts of cream cheese inside. My favourite. continue reading

This Taiwanese bakery shop, which sells Japanese-European style artisan bread, have quite a range of different types of bread and I took awhile to decide and finally got the garlic baguette and lychee bread. A look at the inside. I regretted buying the lychee loaf as it didn't had much taste except for the parts that had lychee and walnut in it which were not many. The bread was also hard. The garlic baguette tasted better but still, it is very average and both of the bread was certainly not worth the price! I guess I made a wrong choice and anyway, I heard their chocolate cream cheese bread is good! continue reading

There was a famous bakery opened by a Taiwan celebrity in United Square. When I reached there, the bakery was crowded and shelves almost empty.I manged to grab a piece called Carlbell. The price was not cheap at $6.50.This Carlbell bread was filled with cheese and rasins. The bread texture was chewy liked Indian naan. When you chewing the bread, it became a lump inside your mouth. It was hard to chew as the texture was tough and chewy. The cheese filling was thick but taste light. Overall the bread tasted plain. continue reading
