Recently there was a Groupon sale at Eat where for $1 you can choose any noodle items below $4.30 from the menu.I had chosen Laksa.Although at $1 offer price, the laksa had generous amount of ingredients such as cockles, fried beancurd skin, fish cake sluces and taupok. The gravy of the laksa was rich in coconut milk with tasted of dried shrimps.  The dried beancurd skin went well with the gravy, it absorbed all the richness of gravy taste. The cockles were fresh and cooked just right, not too raw or over chewy.Overall i was quite surprise Eat sells good delicious Laksa.  continue reading

Fishball is my favourite. Whenever I have no idea of what to eat, I would go for the fishball noodle. I have yet to eat at this EAT shop at Clementi mall, so I thought I would give it a try. There was a few people in front of me in the queue. I ordered dry fishball mee pok. I requested for no oil and vinegar. The serving took about 5 to 10 minutes. It was not too bad but nothing special. The soup was full of MSG. Fishballs tasted like most of the commercial ones. continue reading

EAT is like another food court or kopitiam kind of place, they say mainly noodle stuff. the fishball noodle and laksa are ok, not too bad but the choices are quite limited so if you are not a noodle eater then this store is not a suitable place. depending on your luck, sometime i was served by the staff with quite bad attitude who always show you the black face but on the whole, the other staff are ok continue reading

Every now and then I find myself having the craving for laksa and I just have to satisfy this craving so I go into EAT. and just order a bowl of laksa. There are lots of staff at the counter, each with their own responsibilities but ended up still quite messy. Luckily they double confirm with me again that I do not want to add the sambal chili inside my bee hoon laksa, if not I'm afraid they might just add it in conveniently. Without adding sambal chili, the gravy does taste a bit mild but it's just the right taste that I want so that I won't get a tummy upset afterward. They are generous with the ingredients added too. continue reading

Just like the normal meal that I have in other EAT. outlet, it’s doesn’t give me a surprise or disappointed me in terms of food. The service level there is extremely bad. When you queuing up, the first staff that you passed by will take your orders and marked on the bowl for special order like, not spicy, no veggie or etc. then you will go through the 2nd staff that will cook the noodles for you. I could not understand why he asks the same question that the 1st staff asked before. Before my friend get to answer him, he already put the chili in the bowl while my order is without chili and he scolded at my friend because she did not answer him immediately. I thought they already marked it down? I heard the cashier scolded another customer with fault language but I do not know what is going on. But is that the way how they serve us? The taste of the food doesn’t fantastic. I wish they give me more veggies, I just could find 2/3 small slice of veggies in my bowl. And the bowl is quite dirty with the sauce and ingredients they added. They provide set meal, Set A ($4) – Dried fishballs noodles with tea/coffee, Set B ($5) – Pak chok Mee with tea/coffee and Set C – Laksa (Curry noodles) with tea/coffee. Tried the tea, it's tasteless. I could not smell the aroma of tea. Would I visit there again? I might need to think twice. continue reading
