I ordered the Minced Meat Mee Pok. The noodle is very springy and does not taste soggy at all. Whenever I order noodles, will always ask for extra chilli & vinegar as it complement the noodles very well. I like sliced mushroom the most as is very savory and can tell from the taste that it have been braised for very long. For $4 a bowl, the food is edible, but not exactly a culinary delight. The presentation is not great, but it's an economical price for a bowl of noodles in Orchard road. It was early in the morning so the stall had just opened up and the whole area was manned by one staff. For an affordable lunch around Orchard, EAT is a good place to go to as they serve your usual Singapore delights at wallet friendly prices here.The staffs here are very friendly and even gave us recommendations on what is nice. Was hanging around at Orchard Road on Sunday with the Secondary School mates and decided to have a quick dinner before heading home. Thus, we ended up at Far East Plaza. But Anthony doesn't wants Halal food, so we went for Bak Chor Mee (minced pork mee). While the rest had bak chor mee, I decided to have Satay Bee Hoon. To my surprise, the Satay Bee Hoon is pretty good. Cuttlefish is tender & Cockles are fresh too. The satay sauce is full of peanut flavor and there's quite a lot of peanuts n the sauce. No matter what time you go, the service is always very good and the stafftake your order attentively.We ordered Laksa and Fishball noodles, with an additional side dish of Crispy Fishcake.What I always like about this place is the huge spoon that comes with the chopsticks.It is easy to eat using that spoon. The portions of the Laksa and Fishball Noodles were both big.Both dishes were great to savour till the last bit. Mum love to eat noodles from this place, so decided to try it out with my colleague during lunch.We saw that they have quite a few set meals to choose from. As I'm a fishball noodles lover, decided to go for fishball noodles set! I saw them selling economic fried beehoon with fried ingredients too.The bowl looks big, but noodles not that much, what i like about it, is the chilli and fishball. The chilli is spicy enough, cox I'm a chilli lover. As for the fishball, it's fresh and very 'Q', there isn't any fishy smell too!Despite the set meal comes with hot beverage such as coffee and tea, we are able to change to cold drinks by topping up another 80 cents.
