Whenever I feel like saving some money, this Economic Bee Hoon stall is one of my favourite choice.  Service was alright but not rude, and they are really fast in their service.  Stall is quite big but quite dirty and untidy.  Have bought a package of their white bee hoon for only $1.00, which is super cheap.  Even though is not cooked with dark soy sauce, this white version taste equally delicious.   Bee hoon is chewy and portion is generous.  The chef is also kind enough to add some shredded cabbage and carrot to this main course which enhance the colour and also added some nutritional value to this dish.  continue reading

Decided to try something else at this kopitiam instead of the ban mian which I usually eat. My friend and I ordered based on 2 persons and we shared 4 dishes with 2 plates of rice. We ordered kang kong, potato, stir fried pork and steamed egg plus some curry as the sauce (not sure if the curry is chargeable as it's just the sauce to pour over our rice) and it costs $6.60 together with the rice. The curry was not very nice, it's quite oily so we skimmed away the oil on the surface. The kangkong was nice! It's not the spicy kind, just the normal one stirred fried with garlic. The pork was just so-so only. It didn't have much meat. The steamed egg was smooth and silky to taste, the potato was great too! The amount of rice given was very generous that we were bloated after that. And we also ordered too much for 2 person. And it was good that it wasn't crowded during lunch time! We get to enjoy our meal in peace. continue reading

I had lunch at this food court just yesterday as I was there working. The food available is quite a lot and everything looked really good. I had a takeaway of three dishes, chicken, hairygourd and egg tofu. The chicken is a little spicy as it is cooked with dried chilis and it went very well with the hot steaming rice. The hairygourd was also delicious as it is not overly soft. Overall, I found the dishes to be nice and the price is reasonable. continue reading
