After weeks of eating in North Canteen, I finally decided to follow my friends to eat in South Canteen today,since South Canteen is much nearer to our project area.I wanted to have a balanced meal today, so I went to buy rice at the Economic Rice stall there.The queue was quite short there today.I bought this plate of rice for $2.50, the price was reasonable.However, the rice in North Canteen will be definitely cheaper than this.I can get this for $2 there, with bigger portion.I ordered 2 vege a

The economic rice stall in South Canteen of Nanyang Polytechnic is one of the stalls with the most patrons during lunch hour.I was having a very bad complexion that day, so I could not eat anything with dark sauce.I was disappointed because NONE of the dishes (meat) there was not cooked with dark sauce! They should be more considerate for the health concerned or sick students.I ended up ordering stir-fried lettuce, beansprouts and cauliflower.3 vege + rice costs me $2.It was quite cheap though.I

I think this was my third or fourth time ordered food from Economic Rice stall at South Canteen, although this is my third year study at Nanyang Polytechnic already.Every time I wanna try the food from economic rice stall, there is always long queue. And I am not a very patient person, some more the portion provided is quite small for me, thus I seldom buy food from the stall. Im bored with the vege stall rice already, because there are really few of choices.so i change to economic rice stall.The queue is really short.The food looks ot very clean and they also give quite few amount.It is more expensive if compare to the vege stall.But the choices of dishes is more, for some dish,they are nice.Like the celery and the tofu.The steam egg is not nice,tasteless and very watery.The potato is not bad.I really disappointed about it

I ordered baked beans, tofu and vegetables for lunch. Although they always have a long queue during lunch time, the service is somehow quite fast. Well, the price is also affordable too. It just tastes like normal homecooked dishes, so for those ppl who is craving for homecooked dish, you can probably try this out.The only disadvantage about this stall is the servings are not consistent at all. I bought this a few times, and yet the amount of rice they gave to me are always different.

This is really a economic rice.Can see that they are quite lots of ingredient,but it just cost $2.3.The baked bean is nice,soft and i like the sauce.Especially eat with rice.Something like home-cooked one.The potato is also nice,because i like those kind of soft potato.Maybe for other they may think that it is disgusting.The vege is abit oily,maybe they wan to make it look nicer.Can see that,this is a healthy dish.

Fried economical bee hoon plus sauteed hot dog as sides ($0.7 + $0.5)Had this as breakfast before my lectures start. The bee hoon is a bit dry and hard but still okay for me. I like the hot dog gravy, black pepper with some spiciness. It makes my fried bee hoon not plain.

9. This is the economic rice I had ordered from south canteen. I had ordered two dishes: one is the sweet sour pork and another is green leaves veggie. I like the taste for the pork, because it is appetizing and sweet. The pan fried veggie is slightly too oily and hard.

I think that breakfast is the most important meal, It determines your mood and energy throughout the day.
