We always have some space for dessert no matter how full we are! So, after lunch we headed to EwF at Bugis Junction to have some dessert. Do take note that the desserts here do not come with fries, despite the restaurant name . Anyway, let's move on to our orders...Truffle Fries - $7.90. The fries was thick-cut type, not shoestring as I expected. It has a delicate aroma of truffle, and the truffle taste was there, even though it was not really dominant. Portion wise, it was quite huge for 3 people to share. Even we could not finish it and ended up packing it home.Vanilla Crepe - $7.90. It was a vanilla mille crepe with vanilla cream in between the layers. The crepe was very smooth and not overly sweet. Paying $7.90 for such a huge slice was worth it. Beside vanilla, they also serve Nutella crepe (looking forward to have it on my next visit ).Hot Banana Butterscotch Pudding with Ice Cream - $7.90. I strongly recommend this cake. What could be better than a warm bread pudding, sweet bananas, gooey butterscotch sauce and complemented by a scoop of vanilla ice cream?Nutella Lava Mug - $8.90. The Nutella cake was served in a cute ceramic mug with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. The cake was moist and very rich in chocolate taste, with abundant warm chocolate lava covered inside the cake. However, I guess it is only suitable for true chocoholic like me. If not, you may feel a bit 'jelat' after a few spoonfuls due to the overwhelming sweetness from the Nutella.Overall, I really enjoyed all EwF desserts. I recommend all the desserts reviewed above. Price was a bit hefty because of GST and service charge. But it was worth the food and service given. The staffs were friendly, attentive, and one staff even helped us taking picture. Surely will be back. continue reading

Surprisingly even though this restaurant's name is more focusing on their premium quality French fries, but personally I prefer their cheeseburger over their French fries. The burger bun is very soft and outer layer has been baked to golden brown colour, looks and taste equally good. The beef patty is very juicy and not too oily, with lots of fresh crunch lettuces topped in it. The French fries are crispy but not really that fragrant and also too salty. For less than $15 per portion, is consider priced reasonable. Restaurant is cooling and service are quite alright and fast. continue reading

Its common knowledge that Everything with Fries (EwF) is set up by the same person who opened Awfully Chocolate (AC) right? That it is a sister shop of AC.Thus it should come as no surprise that EwF also serves desserts! They serve a good range, from tarts, to cupcakes to cakes.Anyway i got the Oreo cupcake and the Mille Crepe and they were amazing! I love the way they styled the cupcake. It is like a mini volcano. It tastes good too. I like that the icing was topped with crushed oreo bits. The Mille Crepe looks as if it was created painstakingly. This one is not too sweet nor heavy on the palate. Good for people who cannot tolerate high sugar level stuffs. The cream is also relatively light-tasting. Overall a very good choice to top off a meal with. continue reading

One Egg Soup - $3.90The One Egg Soup was a simple creamy soup with crispy fried egg. The soup was rather normal and it was abeit salty. Then again, I really like the crispy egg... Well, it was not expensive, so let's just not be too critical.... kekeGrilled Pork Chop - $13.90The pork chop was pretty good, at least it was not too tough for the teeth to chew. Nice try.Char- Grilled Beef Karubi - $18.90I was expecting beef steak or something. In fact, I was rather unsure that it was really beef coz I thought the texture was kinda weird.Nutella Tart - $4.90Again, this was one of their best sellers. I read from other blogs that you got to order this earlier in case it runs out wor.. Unless they purposely limit the quantity, otherwise it means popularity and so a must-try! HeeThis was really nutella "gao" aka super rich & thick nutella. You will love it if you love nutella. Then again, not quite a good choice to eat it all by yourself, coz very thick lah... Do share okay?Overall, food was pretty okay and the price was very economical. To read more and view photo, please visit http://fun-hideout.blogspot.sg/2010/09/everything-with-fries.html continue reading

The title obviously emphasized to Fries, it was a Western joint started by Awfully Chocolate. The décor of the restaurant was quite Zen and modern. Ambiance was all right yet the service was not too good, maybe it was short-handed. Be fan of ocean, Battered Fish Sandwich would be my choice. Handmade bun was soft and chewy, served along with Fries and Caesar Salad. Juicy fish met my expectation, completely fresh and must not be the frozen one. Ordered Strawberry Milkshake as well, it was so-so and s bit thick and greasy for me. Overall, the restaurant was nothing fantastic but it still worth a try for those curious newbie. continue reading
