I was in the bugis area and decided to drop by Fat Bird as I remember that their ala carte dishes were 20% off during lunch hours. I ordered the chicken as appetizer - their spice was good, albeit a little too spicy, but goes well with rice. The veggies were very average and a little tasteless, would go for the veg with 3 different types of eggs the next time round. They also have this rewards card which allows you to have a free dish upon activation. continue reading

It was a rainy night and this bullfrog leg hotpot really hit the spot. However, frog legs tend to be rather bony so it was quite a hassle to eat. However, the meat was tender and the gravy was dark, rich and flavourfull. We added tofu and vegetables to our dish, and overall it came up to $48 for 2 people. This includes 2 drinks - ice lemon tea and a can of coke as well. While I think it's a tad expensive (the sign outside claims to be $24 for a pot), this was a satisfying meal. continue reading
