Definitely scratched our burger itch!! Will be back again when our itch acts up again!! ✌️

- Chicken/ beef patty in the burgers that I have ordered taste good and the portion is just nice.
- Tables are not too closely-spaced to one another, giving the privacy and keeps you at ease.
- Self-service water station at a corner of the cafe.

Bad:
- Not very close to the MRT. Preferable to drive.

Brownie Bites Ala Mode - $7

Again, this was not fantastic. The brownie seemed a bit dry, not to my liking.

Sigh, nothing tasted good so far. Serves us right for not ordering their "specialties", which obviously is their burgers. Hey, people dun call them "The Burger Bar" for nothing, okay? So if you are going there, try the burgers first before anything else. I cant promise you the burgers will turn out fantastic since I have not tried them myself. But if I oreadi told you their other stuff not so nice, and then you are there, and there's nothing else on the menu except for the burgers, what else do you order? Of coz, the burgers lah!

first up, we had the mozarella cheese sticks ($9.50) for our appetizer. they were pretty well done, nicely crumbed and fried, but i felt that the cheese could have been smoother and more liquid.

for the drinks, i ordered the chocolate thick malt shake with bailey's ($6.50 + $4.50). we also tried the version without bailey's and i actually preferred that!
not that it wasn't nice, i think i just wasn't in the mood for alcohol. the chocolate malt shake itself was beautifully thick and rich. my suggestion: don't finish one on your own, if not there will be no space for anything else.

the specialty of fatboys is their burgers, so of course we had to try a few of those! i ordered their signature Fat Basterd ($16) which was a humongous burger with double beef chuck patties, extra thick bacon, cheddar cheese, a fried egg and homemade Fatboy's sauce on a sesame bun. i didn't realise there was a more toned down version - the Wimpy ($12) which is exactly the same as Fat Basterd except that it is a much more manageable half-size version!! T.T the burger was not bad though. papa said that the patty was sorta dry, but i beg to differ. it was tender enough for me. what i didn't like though, was the copious amount of pepper they used in a lot of their burgers!!! it was rather shocking. it would have been much better if the taste of the burger could be allowed to shine, without being masked by all the pepper.

the thick-cut fries that came with all their burgers were generously portioned which was good. although i still prefer the skinnier type of fries.

the swiss shroom ($12) similarly was full of pepper, but this was nicer because it was balanced out by the flavour of the shitake mushrooms and garlic aioli. more mushrooms would be better!

my favourite burger would be the mahalo ($12) which was a very interesting bacon stuffed pork patty with caramelized onions, grilled pineapple, melted emmenthal cheese on a sesame bun. this one had no hint of pepper at all! xD and the patty was really interesting which i liked.

i was really greedy that day. actually just 3 main courses would have done the job. but i still ordered honey mustard chicken kebab ($12). i really liked the honey mustard flavour that the chicken was marinated in!!! the meat was kind of tough, i think they could have grilled it better, although i liked the crispy portions. but the chicken on its own was goooood. no need for extra sauce, i already liked the flavour! (:

I ordered their Honey mustard chicken kebab (Boneless chicken filets seasoned with honey mustard , skewered and grilled) for a try since I was'nt really craving on burgers as much as I have heard that their specialties are actually their burger dishes. I would really have to say this dish is best eaten hot. The honey mustard sauce makes a great combi that goes along with the kebab and bell pepper. Mash potato I would say its a little on the dry side though.

On the other hand, my date of the day, a.k.a the birthday boy ordered the Bolly Wooly burger (Juicy lamb patty, on a bed of lettuce and tomato, smothered with homemade curry remoulade and topped mango chutney on a honey oat bun). In my opinion, the burger really taste and smell very bolly wood. The patty itself taste and smell like the usual mutton curry you can get in prata stalls. Say, if you are not a indian spice fanatic, then I suggest you to give this dish a miss. Again, the main dish only comes with 1 side. Either a coleslaw or mash potato. For a heavy eater, I am pretty sure they will probably still have alot of stomach space for some dessert to end their meal.

Ended our meal with a sweet note. The ice-cream taste like Wall's Ice Cream and not Ben & Jerry. A little disappointed. Taste rather common and nothing special about it.

Venue is rather small but this place has long tables that can accomodate lasge group gathering up to 10pax each long table which they have 2 long stretch of tables. And few bar counter look alike tables. (We end up sharing table with 2 other strangers on 1 of the bar counter look alike table. That is how small the cafe is.)

The serving is huge and I think the pricing of the food is just nice. Glad they didn't add in extra cost such as GST or service charge, so what you see is what you pay!

For me, I ordered the Holy Caeser @ $12.00. However, the bacon is really salty, advised to eat with the bread. Overall it's really good. Especially the burger!! Fries that accompany the dish is good too

Ordered the "Whimpy Burger" which comes with a oat bun, beef patty and sunny side up egg. The dish also comes with a bed of fries as sides. We've recently learnt why Fatboy's is so popular. They serve all-American comfort food at teenager-friendly prices. Seriously, with such generous portions (you can totally expect to get totally stuffed here) and amazing food (they do really delicious burgers with the most mouthwateringly juicy beef patties), it's astounding how they keep prices so low! Oh, Fatboy's caters to you as well if you're the picky and fussy type. You can to customise your very own burger!

The Fat Basterd ($18) is perfect for big eaters. Double beef chuck patties are layered with chewy bacon, cheddar cheese, and a fried egg, while homemade BBQ sauce help stick them all together between toasted sesame buns. All burgers arrive with a side of thick cut chips, and a couple of crisp lettuce and tomato slices thrown in for good measure (and less guilt!).

The Swiss Shroom ($13) consists of a single beef chuck patty, sauteed shitake mushrooms, melted delicate swiss cheese and garlic aioli sandwiched between wholemeal buns. It's great that Fatboys caters to non-red meat lovers.

The Breakfast Fry Up ($12.50), with a couple of chicken sausages, crisp bacon, 2 sunny side up eggs, sauteed shitake mushrooms, hashbrowns and crisp waffles, is perfect for people who want breakfast food in the middle of the night.

fat boy is a burger bar serving really juicy and delicious burgers. Love that the beef patty is made from real beef and the patties are juicy and tender. The burger buns are lightly toasted and the smell of the sesame seeds adds a nice and aromatic touc to the burger. The fries are also fried till crispy and are so good. Love burgers here at this burger bar. Great place to chill and eat burgers.

Its my first time here at the fat boys and i'm overwhelmed by the burgerology so we decided to stick with recommendations. We got ourselves a "fat bastard" to share. The burger comes with egg, patty, bacon.but the fries were terrible. they ran out of mash or i would've gotten it changed.playing jenga with the tall burger. we gave up eventually and ate it with one patty each.the cheese was good but we'd have liked the cheddar not to kill the bacon's crispiness.first world problems i know.

"The biggest appeal at Fat Boy’s is being able to customise your own burgers. Everyone is entitled to this, not just bloggers attending the hands-on burger making sessions. ;)

To start, choose your patty from beef ($8.80), lamb ($8.80), pork ($8), grilled chicken ($7.50) and salmon ($8.80). Next, choose your burger bun from sesame seed bun ($1.50), whole meal bun ($1.80) and honey oat bun ($1.80). There is a broad range of add-ons, such as Beetroot ($1), pickles ($1), jalapeño ($1), sundried tomatoes ($2), grilled bananas ($1) and grilled pineapple ($1) to name a few. As for the sauces, there’s wasabi mayonnaise, Caesar dressing, smoked chipotle, curry remoulade, mango chutney and more, ranging from $0.50 to $1.50.

Don’t be surprised when you see peanut butter and nutella on that list. “Were they merely there to cater to those with adversely eccentric taste buds?” Sometimes it is through audacious experimentations of unconventional combination of ingredients that yield unexpected surprises. "

"To complement my pork-and-beef patty (made myself!), I chose the Fried egg ($1.50), Portobello Mushroom ($4.50), Caramelised Onions ($1) with Roasted Garlic Aioli ($0.80) sauce to be sandwiched between Sesame Seed Buns ($1.50)."

"Apart from the succulent beef patty, another highlight was the Thick Malt Shakes (or milkshakes to put it simply). Milkshakes are also customisable. I ordered a peanut butter & vanilla milkshake ($7.50), and I was instantly hooked upon my first sip. The consistency is sufficiently thick and creamy; you can easily tell good quality ice cream is used.

Other Thick Malt Shakes include chocolate and strawberry, all $7, while add-ons include nutella, marshmallows, crushed oreo, banana and caramel. Alcohol lovers can add a dosage of baileys ($4.50) or kahlua ($4.50) to your slurpable bliss."

"Ahh... I made the biggest mistake of choosing the honey oat bun. It tasted good on its own, but definitely not with Fatboy's Homemade BBQ sauce. Too sweet for my liking. I prefer savory burgers.

For the add-ons, I had grilled portobello and cheese. The fries were normal, something that I could do without. The beef patty was not that juicy, probably b'coz it was done medium well. The burger size was just right for me. If you're a big eater, you can always go for double patty. heh."

"And now, here's the best milkshake ever - chocolate with BAILEYS! The chocolate milkshake on its own was $7 and adding Baileys was a mere $4.50! There are other add-ons like peanut butter, banana, caramel, just to name a few.

It was thick, smooth and oh-so-creamy. Ahh... yummilicious
~

And so, the session ends on a happy note!"
