My first time to FLOR Pâtisserie.Ordered a high tea set and an individual tart. The tart was an ice cheese tart. As a fan of cheese, the taste was pretty right. It is not as sweet those I have eaten. The cheese taste was balanced as well. I definitely enjoy the cakes and the afternoon. The cakes still lingers in my mind and I would like to try the rest of its selections.

I have always been a fan of japanese cakes and pastries and was delighted to have discovered Flor Patisserie at Duxton Hill. I decided to order a slice of Moint Blanc. The cakeis topped with fresh fruits like blueberries and strawberry. The sponge cake was really soft and fluffy. The creamy chestnut cream is the highlight of the cake.

A pretty well known pastry shop that have won the hearts of many! We had strawberry shortcake in celebration of one of our fellow colleague's birthday. The cake comes in a pretty bow. I assume it's their signature design. The cake is fluffy accompanied by layers of cream. It tasted perfect on the whole, with fruits, sponge cake and cream. Yummy!

This Patisserie shop has limited seating with a few tables & chairs. A glass display shows their cakes available. Note that they only except cash in the shop, no credit card facilities in the shop.

The pieces of cakes & pastries are on the high side at $6.50 a slice and marron pie at $4.20. Hot drink like tea is around $4 except for a small bottle of Fiji spring water AT $1.50. But the taste and quality did not disappoint. In fact the small whole cake was at affordable price from $24 which can eat 4-5pax.

Wakakusayama 若草山
This super soft green tea Swiss roll is piped with green tea cream and red bean cream. On top it has 1 slice of strawberry.

Marron Pie マロンパイ
The marron pie has puff pastry as the base filled with almond cake that taste like sugee cake and topped with macaroon texture. This usual pie is delicious with each bites and the contrasting texture matched very well. Thinking of it makes me crave for it, I must get more when I am next at FLOR.

The cakes and pastry are of a high standard even though prices are on the high sides but you pay for quality. I like that the items are not overpowering sweet and has different texture with each bits.

They do not use preservatives or baking agent and is freshly baked daily

I have always wanted a pretty birthday cake and after my past encounters with Flor Patisserie, i have decided to get my birthday cake from there. I marked my calendar to remind myself to make an order at least 3 days in advance. I know it sounded strange but i have always ordered my own birthday cake.

I have decided to go with Mont Blanc. The deliciousness of the french chestnut cream is simply irresistible and complemented the soft sponge cake well. The cake was topped with whole sweetened chestnuts imported from Japan and fresh fruits like strawberries and blueberries. A perfect combination.

It came with the candles nicely packed aside. Their standard of service was simply wonderful. Other than the delicious cakes, it is their warm service and thoughtfulness that kept getting me to go back.

And, i liked what i read on their box, it said, "They are make with our exclusive skills and the freshest ingredients". Such heartwarming message brings forth assurance.

I am truly thankful for another blessed year and looking forward to another one ahead. I had a wonderful birthday celebrated with a pretty cake of my choice.

Strongly recommended.

This is probably the best cake that i ever tasted in Singapore. I could not forget how delicious the french chestnut cream was and how crispy the puff pastry taste. My favorite has to be the sweetened Japanese chestnuts. I am going to order this for my birthday. I am coming back to try their other cakes too.

Then i came to realise that Chef Yamashita actually left Glace and set up his own cake shop - Flor Patisserie by Chef Yamashita. No wonder there is so much similarities in their products!

Anyway, I have tried Flor Patisserie for the first time even though i'm a supporter of Chef Yamashita. Needless to say, his cakes all are simply so fresh and yummy. Its tasted absolutely marvellous!

BERRY BERRIES: This is the signature strawberry shortcake consists of soft sponge cake with fresh strawberries and delicious fresh cream. This is definitely my kind of cake too. Like most gals, i am a big fan of all type of berries.

CACAO ROYALE: If you are a chocolate lover then this would be your kind of cake. This is a dark chocolate sponge cake layered with chocolate ganache with fresh berries. This is one of the nicest chocolate cakes that i ever eaten.

And, i am going to order a nice birthday cake from here for my coming birthday.

Flor's BerryBerries ($5.50) is almost as light as air to almost not there. I did not have a good impression of Glace's strawberry souffle and BerryBerries reminded me of it.

All of us love the mango pie ($6), I am especially impressed with the flaky pastry and dense almond-laced filling. The mango pie was the sweetest and heaviest amongst everything we tried but it wasn't cloying at all.

Flor's Waguri Millefeuille ($6.50) is their version of chestnut cake and closest parallel to Mont Blanc. I enjoyed this more than Glace's Mont Blanc because of the flaky pastry which added a stronger taste of butter. Other than that I still prefer K-ki's chestnut cream and almond base for Mont Blanc. Mont Blanc is classically French and the Japanese's take on this classic French is one of the most important contribution to my cake universe

Mango Pie ($6): Baked creme d’amande tart filled with pastry cream, and topped with fresh ripe mango and blueberries.

This has a superbly moist and buttery tart base and is so darn good that I had it on both of my visits. My favourite pie (tart?) at the moment!

Tahiti ($6): Coconut dacquoise filled with passionfruit mousse, and topped with fresh pineapple.

Love this too cuz this is really light and refreshing. I know I shouldn’t do it but I prefer to eat the layer of coconut dacquoise on its own. Otherwise, all I could taste was the strong and tangy flavour of the passionfruit mousse.

Waguri Millefeuille ($6.50): Delicate strands of French chestnut cream carefully piped over a sandwich of crisp, flaky puff pastry and pastry cream, topped with sweetened Japanese chestnuts.

I’m a huge fan of Mont Blanc and all things chestnut so I was very disappointed that this wasn’t available on my first visit. So I came back a couple of days later just to get my hands on this. And wow, this is really good! Love the chef’s interpretation of Mont Blanc and how he puts in such flaky puff pastry to add another texture to the smooth cream and light sponge.
