While having seen the next table enjoying some sinful delights like these, we decide to join in. The chicken wings were deeply fried in its crispiness form and revealing its juicy pipping hot meat under the coat of batter. If you are game for some snacks, this is one of the better choices.

Grilled Barramundi with Basil Almond Peso was great and was also one of their chef's recommendation. I had enjoyed the top layer of crisp clinging onto the Barramundi Fillet with assorted stirred fried vegetables stacking up the fillet. The presentation from the colours were soothing and alluring.

Needless to say, the ribs were well whipped from the kitchen and every piece of ribs featured the tenderness and juiciness giving the need for a continuous bite.

Ambiance at night in the corner was perfect for a night out if you want to enjoy your couple time. However, I find that the service crews were overly attentive to our movements and I was quite uncomfortable with someone excessively staring at our plates while we were dining. However, in a good sense, our plates were quickly cleared away by the individuating attention the assist had provided.

Mee Rebus and tea set ($6)
They seems to offer many tempting western breakfast, but DG was in the mood for Asian food. So we ordered this Mee Rebus for sharing. I only planned to have few bites but the gravy was really delicious. It was thick, the way I love it, and the tauge was barely cooked, giving a refreshing crunch to every bites. Two thumbs up!

Had a lovely brunch out here with friends and kids. I had a bangers & mash and it was good! Hub had a pasta with Broccoli and prawn. That was good too! The kids enjoyed their kids meal too with the mini juice pack! Too cute!Best part is the kids can run outside the cafe and you can watch them play outside while enjoying adult conversations inside with aircon. 2 thumbs up for good food and location.

As you can see, the price of the various 'ingredients' are stated individually and you can easily customize your own dish according to your taste bud and also, financial practicalitly wise, according to your budget.

Now that there is also circle line that leads to Botanical Garden, makes travelling alot easier.

The garlic mushroom smell and taste really good and does not have a too over powering garlic taste. People like me who do not prefer too heavy garlic taste would still love it i'm sure.

Salad is freshly made and vegetables are really crunchy and good.

Sausage is grilled(I supposed) nicely and not too geasy. Chewy and tangy.

Love my own customized dish!

3) Back Ribs - $24

Kinda sweet for one person consumption. It's actually a better idea to share the dish where you can "share" the sweetness and enjoyed the tender meat falling apart from the ribs. Served with lotza tomato and creamy mash potato.

P.S: I visited the branch at Queen Street but it's now called Fast Food For Thought, no longer serving proper meals.

Scone with cream ($4), Macchiato($3) - scone was soft and smell nice especially while it served warm. The best is the cream which friend C eyeing. It has a nice milk taste which is really different from what I had tasted before elsewhere. I started loving it too.

Pancakes with Chocolate and Berries ($13) - This is highly recommended why I did a search online. I like this combination, no syrup needed. Pancake is fluffy and soft. The berries sauce was just nice to go with pancakes and of course the great cream.

Food for Thought gives off a casual, laid-back vibe. It seems to attract a wide range of people - couples, family, friends.I had the Creamy Pesto Chicken and the presentation was simple yet elegant. As with a lot of restaurants these days, its portion was rather small. The linguine was cooked just right, neither hard nor soggy. It went well with the zucchini and the chicken. As it is very creamy, it will satisfy lovers of cream.

Food For Thought has good ambience and no frills, so it makes a good place for tea. I dropped by to have a cup of cappuccino, which costs around $4.50 for a rather large cup. The cappuccino is very fragrant, and the coffee taste is strong and thick. The accompanying piece of cookie is also good. Staff were also attentive and quick to respond, even though the place was quite full.

this place is rather popular, and I can see why. it’s a large open space, completely casual canteen-seating predominates, and the menu is likewise expansive.

it’s not the best brunch I’ve had but I don’t really think that’s the point. it feels rather more like a place you go to to be convivial, or bring your screaming children along, with a dash of decent food to help lubricate conversation.

it’s a casual place – you order at the cashier and food gets served to the table. the partner had his mind set on the trio of sliders: the kaffir lime fish, spicy thai chicken and pulled pork. served alongside fries, these were all average – the bread was soft and giving though, and we’ll recommend the chicken: it was tender, moist leg meat, seasoned well.

I took the salad-as-lunch option. the plate of sugar snap peas came tossed in a soy-sesame mix – refreshing in its simple greenness but the peas werere untrimmed, and I had to remove all the threads myself. the smoked salmon & broccoli plate was a great mix of flavors. chargrilled broccoli, cold hot-smoked salmon and roast beetroot – all delicious.

I might return. that salad was good, and the place does brunch proud – a vibrant atmosphere, nothing too awe-inducing or surprising for the first meal of the day. comfortable like those old pyjamas you can’t bear to throw away.just don’t come expecting mind-blowing food, and get in on the chillness of it all.
