Food For Thought (Closed)

I was rather surprised when I turned up at this restaurant, because the items listed on the menu is rather expensive and I doubt there will be many at this place, but I was wrong! The whole place was packed full with about a hundred people seating inside, and I'm dying to know why.Turns out that they offer a slightly different menu from their outlet at Queens Street, and is more affordable for patrons. Food for Thought serves quite a wide variety of western food and at a reasonable price. The restaurant decoration is nice and comfortable too. Service was good, and the food was nice. This one I order is the sandwich in chicken breast and vege. the bread is soft and the chicken is seasoned with nice sauce so i think this is a delicious sandwich. The salad beside is also refreshing and this is such a filling meal.

Always heard from my friends that this restaurant's foods are quite tasty, so decided to give it a try. Was not really pleased on the french fries which I have ordered from here. The presentation was quite alright and simple. But it is just too oily and salty, eventhough it is quite crispy. You may feel quite thirsty after having it and also the french fries served to me was quite cold as well.

This seafood spaghetti is not bad,it has a good smell of olive oil.It is simple but yet nice.Those prawn are big in size,they are also very generous,they give us lots of prawns.It taste really not bad,it taste nicer when I add much of chilli powder and cheese.This looks nice,the meat is quite tender and flavourful..The salad is quite fresh,and it is a bit sweet.The portion is not very big,so I'm not really full after finished it.

food for thought is great. i love places with NO ++ added to the price. the fries are not bad. the burger is pretty good too. nicely packed and juicy and cooked just right. a bit slow in getting the food out and the orders get a bit mixed up. the place is quite big. love the seating arrangements. water is free and you can get it out of a water container. they have wonderful cakes. highly recommend their cakes. very very good! and servings are very generously sized.

we always order the pancakes here as they are just so good! wonderful texture and fluffyness. and the cream and syrups and berries are generous and everything is very well-balanced. can't have enough of it! and the setting is great, in the botanic gardens. the water is sell service and there is not service charge! yay! the seating arrangements are great but the plant in the middle of the table is irritating. highly recommended! their cakes here are splendid!

I had the pancakes with dark chocolate and stewed cherries- they were quite amazing! I would come back just for the pancakes! I also had a hot tea latte with macadamia and it was nice and rich, but a bit too sweet and I couldn't taste the tea at all. The brownie with marshmallows was also nice but after a while felt a tad too sweet as well. The service was good as well. Other than that, ambience is comfortable and nice.
