Eat out at foodcourt, it has many choices for my liking. Opted for soupy lunch today, I ordered from homely friendly Fish Soup stall. It was known as Hand-pulled noodles sometimes, different thickness and different shape. Cooked bowl by bowl per serving at a time, pieces were definitely tasted well. I am the big fan for this humble hearty dish, nothing luxury inside but warmth. The portion was huge enough and filling, the price was $4.00.

This is the Fresh Sliced Fish Ee Mian. I like ee mian but this one was a little undercooked so it was slightly hard. The fish was fresh and I like how smooth it was. I found the portion of fish to be pretty good as there were about 6-7 slices of fish. Portion of noodles were just nice for me. Even though it was slightly hard, I could finish all the noodles. I like the soup as it was not too salty. For a hint of spiciness, I added some chili padi in the soup. Yum!

Decided to go for the fish soup with rice for lunch at koufu. Firstly, the fish was fresh and well cooked, soft and tender texture and the size of the sliced fish is also quite big. Other than the fish, other ingredients that was added in this bowl of fish soup includes tomato, cubed tofu, vegetables and garnish such as the ikan bills and deep fried onion. As for the soup wise, it has a nice aroma, mild sweet and goes well with the rice.

This is really yummy though it cost $5.50 for a plate of ten but i can never resist the temptation of Guo Tie (pot stickers). this is one of the nicer ones i have eaten. their guo tie is not like those traditional one which are pan fried and have a smooth skin with a mildly charred bottom. this one is deep fried completely. but the filling is seriously good. a word of caution, it is very juicy so be careful when you take a bite, the juice will squirt out. it is just so juicy. dipped in vinegar a

Brought a bowl of the you mian from this stall at kou foo. I was quite impress by the speed that they prepared this bowl of you mian in about less than 5 minutes time. I was feeling a little under the weather so decided to order something hot for lunch. After walking around the stalls I settled for the mee hoon kway. Instead of going with the normal mee hoon kway I got myself the one with dumplings. I find their mee hoon kway a little too thin and it was cut very evenly so I presume it is not handmade. I prefer those handmade ones where the mee hoon kway have more texture and tasted more chewy. nevertheless the soup was very tasty and the dumpling was good.

i ordered the dumpling noodles from this stall. they sell both ban mian and fish soup. I must say the portion of the dumpling noodles is pretty large. The dumplings themselves are huge. It was stuffed with a lot of meat and vegetables. the dumpling itself was very tasty. I would prefer their skin not to be so thick but I guess they did not have a choice cos they were wrapping a lot of ingredients into the dumpling. But nevertheless it was really good. very satisfying.

This is the only stall selling fish beehoon, so I don’t have much of a choice but to buy from them. I actually ordered the fried fish beehoon in clear soup, but she prepared the wrong one for me. I decided to just make do with the milky soup since I didn’t want to make things difficult for the stall owner. The fish soup is quite tasty to be honest, but I felt thirsty after finishing my meal, even though I had only drank half of the soup. The fried fish is just ok in my opinion, since there is to

The fish soup is quite tasty to be honest, but I felt thirsty after finishing my meal, even though I had only drank half of the soup. The fried fish is just ok in my opinion, since there is too much batter and very little fish meat. Overall, I probably would not buy this again but to try their other dishes if I were to revisit this stall.

Ban Mian is found almost in every foodcourt, but it is not easy to find a good ban mian. This stall has ban mian, just the way I like it. The soup base is sweet and flavorful. I like to stir the egg when it is still raw, mix it in the soup, and give the soup a even nicer taste. The ikan bilis is cripsy, although it usually becomes a bit hard after soaking in the soup. There is quite an amount of green vegetables and enough meat to go with the noodles. The handmade noodles is not too soggy, which

The ikan bilis is cripsy, although it usually becomes a bit hard after soaking in the soup. There is quite an amount of green vegetables and enough meat to go with the noodles.

The handmade noodles is not too soggy, which I find many other stalls to be too soggy to my liking. When the soup and noodles is less hot and could be eaten, the noodles would be just right. It is also very smooth, and you can probably just slurp it down.

There is a long queue during the lunch and dinner time, especially on weekends. Will probably have to wait a while for the food, but it's worth it.
