Found the local delight when hanging around at Takashimaya, I was surprised there was affordable meal here. Just like normal foodcourt, Food Village was built up by handful stalls with different cuisines. Having longest queue, I insisted good food is worth the wait. Quality guaranteed by cooking one plate then one plate, the chef fried right in front of us. Waiting time was still bearable, staff acted quite fast and friendly service. Stick to the stall, we finally ordered two different dishes. I ordered Char Kway Teow and Fried Hokkien Prawn Noodles for him, both were mouth-watering in appearance. Kway Teow was slightly sweet with the darkening sauce added, taste was fragrantly nice. Little smoky, yet it was not overcooked or oily mushy. Ingredients were generously given, mixed well with Kway Teow generally. Sharing the food, I got to try noodle too. Infused into rich starchy gravy, mee on the other hand remained springy. Spicy sambal and dash of lime gave additional mark to overall, heavenly slurping good plate. Perfectly gooey texture, cubes of pork added along also. Simple yet delicious, I actually like two of them. Definitely not overpriced, they were costed $5.00 each.

Brought a plate of the white carrot cake for lunch at the food village at ngee ann city. Presentation of the carrot cake is neat and acceptable. As for the taste wise, is it sufficiently seasoned and not too salty. The carrot cake is cut into thick pieces and has a soft and spongy texture. The egg mixture is spread evenly onto the carrot cake and chai pok is also added to enhance the taste of the carrot cake. Price is a bit higher as compared to other foodcourt at $4.50 per plate.
