For a party, we ordered 300 fried chicken wings and the uncle was so kind to accommodate our request, at just $1 each it is so much cheaper than old Chang Kee. Of course we had to order a couple of days in advance. The chicken wings were quite oily but that is expected. It is not for the health conscious but everyone enjoyed them! The chicken wings were quite oily but that is expected. It is not for the health conscious but everyone enjoyed them! It was hard to just have one. It is quite addictive, once you start munching on one chicane wing, you just want to have another. It is not crispy but juicy!

They are also quite plump! Unlike some chicken wings stores that are popping up from western parts of the world in Singapore, this is a full sized chicken wing not a winglet! So for a dollar, you get so much more chicken meat!

Here is the shop front, located in the same coffee shop as tian Wai tian fish steamboat, it is hard to miss, since he has tons of newspaper articles on the shop front.

Seriously though, I have yet to try two wings but this is just too good! Really don't think there is a better chocked wing out there for a dollar!

We call Victor (the guy that runs this shop) Mr Phua Chu Kang the Second. He's always in his bright yellow boots. You can't miss him.

Those that miss the good old days of Carona will be happy to know that despite the demise of the lousy franchise, the original owner (who sold off the "carona" moniker) has set up his own stall selling the awesome fried chicken wing rice. in a little coffeeshop on the fringes of Little India, no less.

The Fried Chicken Wing Rice ($2.50), consisting crispy fried chicken wings served in a delectable chicken-stock-based rice, with a piquant chili sauce that packs a punch. The chicken wings are marinated overnight so the marination soaks through to the bone and fried fresh everyday. Every time the owner fries his chicken wings, the aromatic smells wafts through the air and permeates every inch of the coffeeshop. Absolute MUST-TRY.

If you have the space, try his fried rice as well. It's awesome too

Tried a plate of white chicken rice instead of their much acclaimed fried chicken wing rice for a change. Seems like they should stick to their fried chicken wing. The white chicken, though tender, lacks of much taste. It tastes quite awfully plain and the chilli sauce is almost too watery. The soup on the other hand, is worth mentioning. Very flavourful and sweet, the chicken broth is well made.

The main dish at this stall is definitely their chicken wings. They sell it by itself, without the chicken rice or you can have it with the rice as a set meal. The rice is nothing much really and lacks the fragrance. The chicken wing is quite juicy and has a tolerable amount of oil. The meat is tender and tastes just alright.
