Freshly from oven everyday, Garrett was the only one popcorn brand I like to consume all the time. Strong buttery scent seduced along the path in shopping mall, it was irresistible to say no to this popcorn. Different sizes available, best seller was CaramelCrisp.Too many? Relax! Who would ever expected popcorn to be that exquisite that this gourmet outlet would just spruce all over town in a flash? Every time I walk by a Garrett popcorn shop, I'd marvel at the long queue of people who are willing to pay a substantial amount of money for some corn kernels. Until one day, I couldn't resist the smell of popped corn, caramel and butter in the air that I told my husband, "We just have to grab one bag to try". We picked the macadamia one.And the verdict? It is worth every penny we spent. Every freshly popped corn was well coated with the sweet caramel and coupled with a generous serving of macadamia nuts. The nuts came in halves and wholes, not just bits and pieces. This popcorn wasn't anything like what we could get at movie theatres. Garrett Popcorn had been around for years, and till date, their standard still remains. Popcorn are made fresh daily, and each is well coated with thick layer of caramel, yummy! I love the caramel popcorn from garrets. Its super sweet and crunchy and satisfies my sweet tooth. The popcorn is freshly made everyday so that it is always fresh. The popcorn used is kettle corn so its more crunchy than usual popcorn. Each piece is coated evenly in caramel such that all pieces are just as tasty as each other. I bought a bag of delicious popcorns from Garrett Popcorn. I am glad that they have opened more outlets around Singapore so it is easier to get their popcorns. I bought a small packet of Chicago Mixed Popcorns. It was reasonably priced at $8. Their small size bag is pretty large in my opinion, you can actually eat it for days. The Chicago Mix is best f both world, they mix two flavours of their popcorn into a bag. you get the nacho cheese and caramel flavoured ones. I think getting the mix is a good idea, cos i get sick of certain flavours of food quite fast if i eat too much, so when i got the mix flavours, the savoury and sweetness balance out each other and i managed to finish the whole packet and not get sick of it. the nacho is the soft kind of popcorn like those salted ones you get in the cinemas. the caramel ones are crispy as it is coated with a layer of caramel. it was very worth it.…Read More

I was ignorant to the existence of such a premium popcorn until a friend introduced it to me. Then was the first time I heard of Garrett Popcorn. Today, I passed by one of the branches of Garrett Popcorn at Wisma. They only have two types of popcorn, the savoury Cheese and the sweet Caramel Crisp (plain or with nuts). One could mix the two together, called the Chicago Mix. The smallest bag cost $7 for Cheese and $8 for both Caramel Crisp or Chicago Mix. The most expansive was a 6.5 gallon tin, $220. Wow! Wonder who would buy?I like the Caramel Crisp but my daughter like the Cheese, so I ended up buying the Chicago Mix.
