My family had visited the Gazza Pasta & Pizza at JEM cook house for our weekend Lunch. They have so many set menusin the type of grill & Pizzas & pastas .I have choosen Grill chicken set menu:That comes with A bowl of white rice & soup of the day & some boiled corns with fried egg .You can choose the sauce for your grilled chicken,Like Mushroom sauce,Black pepper sauce(for spicy lovers),or soya sauce etc......The chicken is well cooked & tender & juicy.Nice food to try.The price of the set is Around S$ 5.50,very resonable & the waiting time also approximately 5-10mins.They have some promotions like buy one pizza & get the 2nd one with 50% off like wise .Really worth. continue reading

Decided to try the food at this stall serving Western Cuisines - pizzas and pasta at Jem Cookhouse. I wanted to try pizzas but i was worried the serving may be too much for me to finish by myself so i ordered the carbonara pasta. To facilitate waiting time, they have a disc which will light up when the food is ready. The total waiting time was around 10 minutes but it felt longer than that. Anyway when i went to collect, i observed there is a tray of seasonings - pepper, salt, cheese and chilli flakes. I added cheese and chilli flakes but the latter not so much. Maybe the lid holes too small for the chilli flakes. The Carbonara Pasta ($6.50) can be summed up in one word: tasteless. It is creamy but it just feels like i am eating cooked plain spaghetti. Even the ham didn't help much, though i am quite grateful for their presence. The pasta is cooked well but i just wished that the pasta sauce flavour was stronger. continue reading

There are a few outlets for this western food stall all over Singapore. Went to JEM and saw it at Cook House food court. After I order and paid I was given a small device as this is to allow me to go back to my seat while waiting for the food. However, as I was seated too far from the stall the device did not alarm nor nudge(this was explained by the stall cashier). The carbonara spaghetti($6.50) which i think is quite pricey for food court standard. The carbonara sauce is extremely creamy but bland. The bacon is quite salty and the spaghetti is over cooked(not al dente) at all. I guess this will be my first and last time to patronize this western food stall. continue reading

What a delight to find a western stall selling pizza at the newly opened cook house at Jem. After looking through their menu, decided to go for the hawaiian pizza with the cream of mushroom soup. For the hawaiian pizza, it is well baked, crispy crust on the outer part and the fresh ingredients used for the fillings. Sufficient cheese was added with the other fillings and the nice aroma of the cheese can be detected when eating the pizza. As for the cream of mushroom soup, it has a smooth texture, with a nice fragrance mushroom aroma and can be used as a dip for the hawaiian pizza as well. Price wise is quite reasonable at around $10.80. continue reading
