Dinner was at Golden Cafe on Craig Road. Started with dou miao. It was nicely flavoured, tasty and crunchy. Their prawn paste chicken tasted very ordinary. it was Served really hot. While eating you got to be extra careful. Then we also had a salted fish tofu in claypot. This dish did not have any wow factor. The sauce was salty and sour at the same time. My overall experience was just so so. The service was also a little slow in my opinion.

The claypot noodles at Golden Cafe located in Tanjong Pagar is really delicious. It costs $5 for a serving. The ee mian is really soft soaked in the gravy. There are other ingredients such as prawns, squids and vegetables. The highlight of it is the whole egg yolk when served. I enjoyed the piping hot taste of the noodles.

Seafood rice at Golden café taste great! The rice was neither too hard nor soft, but tasting just right. I like the gravy topped on the rice as it enhances the taste of it. The ingredients given such as the prawns, squid and fish were very nice too. It costs $4.50 for a plate of it, it’s quite a reasonable price for a plate of this. The service staff was friendly when taking our orders.
