Gong Cha (Changed Hand) New Restaurant

This greenish-milky drink is Gong Cha’s iced green tea latte. Costing a grand $3.20, it was totally not worth its price. The green tea taste was way too artificial, and tasted more like green tea syrup rather than the authentic matcha taste. It was also by far too milky and therefore the entire drink tasted more akin to a green tea flavoured cough mixture. It was too sweet despite me asking for only 25% sugar. Skip if possible.

Walked by Gong Cha at Square 2 and noticed that they have introduced a new flavour on their menu, Taro Milk Tea.The Taro Milk Tea however was a bit too sweet for me even though I only asked for 50% sugar level. The Taro Milk Tea also lacked both the yam and tea flavours. The drink does not come with pearls, so you need to fork out extra for them. Overall I think the drink is not worth getting.

We saw a few young ladies with Gong Cha in their hands while shopping at Novena Square 2 and decided to get one for ourselves. We walked through the 4 storeys but can't seems to locate the Gong Cha store. Finally we managed to locate it outside the building, level 1, next to the taxi stand.Waiting time was really short, we get our milk tea almost immediately. I love Gong Cha and that was why when I saw it at Novena Square 2, I immediately went and grab myself an Earl Grey Milk Tea. i was shopping around novena square with my mother when we got really thirsty from lunch. I remembered my friend telling me that there was a branch of gong cha here at novena square 2. This outlet of gong cha is slightly hard to find because it is located outside of the mall instead of within it. It was only when i wanted to take a shuttle bus and went through that particular exit did i realised there is a gong cha outlet here. What's next after the long queue at Koi?? The new upcoming bubble tea - Gong Cha!Currently there are only 3 branches - Vivo City, Square 2 and City Mall. The queue of this is still manageble and price is affordable. Other than KOI that draw large crowds from the bubble tea lovers, Gong Cha is also another franchise from Taiwan and there are only 2 branches in Singapore located at Novena Square 2 and City Square Mall. Similarly you get to choose the level of sweetness range from 0, 30%, 50%, 80% or 100% which I will usually go for 30% only. So far the queue at Novena Square 2 was not that bad during lunchtime, and the average waiting time would be like less than 15 minutes or so. I love milk tea, so usually
