Had truffled ravioli $18 - Round pasta cases stuffed with wild porcini mushrooms and truffles, with tomato basil sauce - dont like it... it tasted artificial.

Their Mint Hot Chocolate $8 was surprisingly good. The peppermint doesnt taste like syrup.

The Poached eggs on thick toast was accompanied with smoked salmon, gruyere, and hollandaise sauce. The slab of thick toast was generously slabbed with a huge dollop of hollandaise sauce that completely covered the poached eggs, creating a mess of oozing egg yolks, soft egg whites, and sauce. The bread was well soaked with the goodness and I thought it was pretty awesome.

The Baked Chilli Crab Pie comprises of chunks of crab claw meat cooked in Chilli crab sauce, baked in a sweet shortcrust butter pastry. I loved the how the chilli crab complemented the buttery pastry and the dish remains my favorite on the list.

I have always enjoyed weekend brunches with a group of good friends, sharing unpretentious food in a relaxed setting, laughing and talking all afternoon. I wanted my first post to be memorable and nothing is more meaningful than having a good food with great company. We decided to try out Group Therapy-A cosy little cafe nestled on the upper rows of shophouses along Duxton Road. We were greeted by a some very friendly and laid-back ladies who really harmonized with the atmosphere, making it a perfect weekend brunch hideout.

S. and I decided to go with the Ravioli Roasted Wild Mushroom In Black Squid Ink Pasta with Tomato Basil Sauce and Truffle Oil ($20). It was refreshing and light, and roasted mushrooms and tomatoes came through as a simple home-cooked dish that had layers of vibrant flavours to it.

I realized T.S. has a thing for scrambled eggs, and so he had the Eggs Done The Way You Like It Served with a Toasted Bagel ($11), scrambled of course. The eggs were light and fluffy, but it was probably not salty enough for him, as he seemed to be adding dashes to it. It was basically a what you see is what you get brekkie. Straightforward.

T. had the famous Grilled smoked Ham Mushroom and Mozzarella Cheese Panini ($14). This classic sandwich won T's heart as its so simple but so satisfying. My apologies on the rather blurred pictures of the sandwich, thus leaving them out. But this sandwich is definitely not to be missed!

ZY had the Beef Shank Stew with Carrots and Potatoes served with Bread ($15). It was a very hearty stew that was well-cooked and has definitely been stewing for sometime as the beef shanks had a nice robust flavour to it and the veggies in there soaked up the beef essence. This beef stew is something I would like to have on a cold rainy day, when I'm all comfy in my pyjamas, accompanying me while i watch a good ole' movie.

A weekend brunch won't ever be complete without its sweets. We all tucked into Granny Smith's Apple Crumble ($10.50). The apples were nice ad tart, and the crumble was just sweet enough not to overshadow the slightly sour granny smiths. It was served chilled and was a nice ending to happy brunch for a happy bunch

We were both full and thus ordered only a belgian style waffle with vanilla ice cream, chocolate sauce, almonds and fruits. The waffle was crispy and it was slightly airy, not too fluffy in my opinion, and i like it so much!
We actually waited 20-25mins for this waffle,
but thankfully the server was apologetic.

Only downside was that we left the cafe smelling like what caught our noses the first thing we stepped into the cafe.
But would still gladly return and try their pies the next time round though!

They have a small section that sells tote bags for a cause, and yes, i left the cafe with one.

Group therapy offers you a more western kind of menu. It has got breakfast menu which i find it quite special. It may look simple as it uses bread for their dish, but the ingredients they use makes it more western kind. The ingredients are fresh, and generous. Their drinks are good too, wide selections. Prices are not too expensive. Good place to dine at and chill out.

We were there after a big dimsum lunch. Supposedly only for coffee, but when I saw the egg benedict ordered by the table next to us, I had to order one to try. Glad we had a big group to share out the calories!

Great choice. The egg is perfectly runny, and the hollandaise sauce is so rich that it can only be homemade and not out of a jar. the thick brioche toast is also really amazing, and we polished it off even though we all came from a big lunch!

We also ordered various coffees and drinks, and shared a carrot cake. Nothing very life changing, and the carrot cake is a little to sweet for my liking. But I would totally go back for the egg benedict!

The other thing i really like about the place is that the service is awesome. The people running the place looks like they are from the creative fields and as though they are a bunch of friends hanging out at their cafe. And they totally loved their food and it shows!

I love checking out new "hidden" places and Group Therapy was my latest conquest. They have all-day brunch, which is always a win for me. However I found their food menu slightly too expensive for me. Tried the latte which was so-so. The egg benedict was interesting as they presented it on top of a thick toast (is this a Singapore thing? lol) instead of the standard english muffin. My friend said it made the dish look yummy but I thought it made the eggs look really tiny in comparison. Surprisin

Surprisingly it was a good choice as the toast soaks up the egg yolk and sauce, making it a joy to eat. The hollandaise sauce was a little too milky for my liking but still good. (FYI my gold standard is Prive's egg ben so I tend to compare a lot, much to my friends' annoyance). Nice place to chill, might go back to try their specialty fruit beer, but only if I've the cash to spare!

The street is really quiet at night, it is on the second floor, when we step into the cafe, it looks spacious, very homely feeling, cafe was separated into two section, one with normal dining table and another is with cushion seats with tea table. they have one side selling unique utensil (some from japan), by the time we settle down is around 9plus PM. glad that they close @ 11pm on weekend.

it was quiet that night, by 10pm we are the only table occupied. it is a quiet place for chilling our with friends.

Caramel Latte (Very bland and tasteless, it tasted like they added plain water to it)

Hot Mint Chocolate (a little Too sweet with all the chocolate sauce)

Mango Passionfruit Smoothie (Nice and Fruity!, best drink out of all)

It will be a nice place to chill out with a small group of friend, or in the morning breakfast with your loved ones or brunch with your gym buddy (and yes, they have food menu too)
