I have previously reviewed their excellent prawn noodles. This time round, I am focusing on the other popular dish offered here, their minced meat fishball noodles. For a mere $2.50, you get 3 fresh, bouncy fishballs and one meatball. The fish cake slices and the minced meat provided are also very tasty. The mee kia noodles you get here are a bit different from others out there. It's just slightly thicker but has a very good springiness to the noodles which are cooked to a just-nice texture. Kinda like hawker ramen.
The flavoring is also very good. Nothing much to complain about the dish, though the addition of the tong chai might have made the noodles a tad saltier (although it adds fragrance too at the same time).

I alternate between the fishball noodles and prawn noodles at this stall once a week for my weekend breakfasts. That's how much I like it LOL

This stall always has a snaking queue during weekend mornings, so expect to wait for at least 15 mins. The prawn noodles is one of the best-sellers here and it's also one of my favorite dishes in this food center. The soup is a hearty prawn broth which probably was simmered too with pork bones to give its robust flavor. 5 prawn halves are given for each serving, with a smattering of chopped spring onions, kangkong, fried shallots and lard, which all enhances the overall taste. Service is brisk, with the uncle working non-stop - hardly looking up, with his steps all rehearsed, probably honed from his many years of experience. His daughter, a very friendly auntie with a booming voice takes the orders. She has a very good memory and can take several orders at one go. She recognizes most of her regular customers and is very chummy with them and respectful to the elders. We only started coming here regularly for the past 2-3 months once a week for breakfast and she already recognizes us

The kind uncle who cooked the dish was friendly enough for my request to try out a mix of kway tiao and egg noodles together with the dish. it was a fairly rainy day across Vivo and i was stuck. The place of this Telok Blangah food centre was filled with a lot of collared people, judging from the office across, made it as a fairly large place and cheap eatery. The portion was OK for the noodles and the sauce was quite spicy which I took to surprise (Dont find a lot of spice stuff in Singapore). The portion was OK for the noodles and the sauce was quite spicy which I took to surprise (Dont find a lot of spice stuff in Singapore). But the fishballs were great! it was so soft and the taste just purges out of fish and the right amount of wonder powder! It was a good meal for a cookeeatmonster fishball eater!
