Guang Tai bowl of Lor Mee was fully filled almost to the top with its gravy and ingredients with the usuer ingredients like Ngoh Hiong, Fish cakes, braised belly meats. It was a pleasant surprise to have tasted such a special bowl of Lor Mee in Jurong as their "Lor Chap" (gravy) was infused with herbs. Not only that the braised meats were nicely prepared and flavourful.

All along I would have thought that Lor Mee in Hawker Centre was pretty
ordinary, with salty dark brown gravy, having not much of braised taste
but this bowl from Guang Tai had given me a different view instead.

After eating the Penang Laksa in this Yuhua Hawker Centre, I still felt hungry, maybe it was due to the sourish soup. I went to the opposite stall and ordered a bowl of Lor Mee at $3.The Lor Mee came with nice aroma of black vinegar and braised gravy. The gravy tasted very good with just nice starchy smooth texture and herbal. The braised meat was quite fatty and soft to chew, almost melted in mouth. The ngor hiam was average, not crispy with fish paste inside. The yellow flat noodles I saw from

The yellow flat noodles I saw from the signboard was using special healthier version, but it tasted the same as normal yellow noodles.

Overall, this Lor Mee was one of the best in Jurong, other best was at the Clementi.

What makes a bowl of prawn noodles taste good lies on the soup base that allows the noodles or beehoon to absorb the essence from it. Most of the time, the prawn heads are one of the many ingredients in the soup that contributes to the sweetness. Here at Guang Tai, it did met the expectation on the soup with a little greasy but the prawns failed to impress as they are not fresh and also overcooked. Here at Guang Tai, it did met the expectation on the soup with a little greasy but the prawns failed to impress as they are not fresh and also overcooked. But with slices of fishcakes and vegetables, is a plus point. This stall is one of the oldest since this food centre opened more than a decade ago and the price has since increased from $2.00 to $3.00.

They sell only Lor Mee (Braised noodles) and Prawn noodles only.

While, guang tai not only sell lor mee but also prawn noodles which is equally nice, but i didn't want to take any seafoods since i was sick, thus, i chose lor mee! I didn't find anything nice, it wasn't bad, the gravy was thick and strong. But I didn't really find anything particular special. Just like an ordinary bowl of lor mee. Each bowl costs $3.00. Last thing I will like to add on is, the ingredients was non-fried items which is healthier as compare to other lor mee stall.

A very full bowl of noodles and ingredients with thick gravy. They were very generous in their ingredients. When i asked for more vegetables, they really gave me a whole handful more bean sprouts! There were quite a lot of pieces of meat together with others like fish cakes, half an egg and ngoh hiang. The gravy was very flavourful herbal and they filled the bowl to the brim! It was a yummy bowl of noodles!
