I was recommended to this restaurants by some of my friends. Have always seen the nice photos of the food that they ordered. I was quite attracted to the outlook of the foods and presentation. Thus, I decided to go there for an advanced Father's day dinner with my family.

The restaurant is located on the 3rd floor of the sports hall. It is usually quite quiet on weekdays. Would recommended reservation for weekends or public holidays or special occasions.

We ordered Herbal prawns, prawn rolls, mongolian pork ribs, veg with tri eggs, beancurds with oats, crispy cod fish with salad and mango. I love the way the food are served. They are hot, presentable and best of all, delicious!! A must try is the Herbal prawns. The prawns are big and very fresh. The soup base is made of herbs and very tasty. To my surprise the pork ribs are boneless and very lean too. The seasoning are good. The beancurds are crispy on the outside, but very soft on the inside. Very well cooked by the chef. There are lots of oats on it too.. ;) The prawn rolls are very solid and comes with plum sauce. I love their 'heng cai' with the 3 eggs. The gravy consists of salted eggs, century eggs etc. You can eat it with white rice. It is very flavourful.

The price is very reasonable for a restaurant. One of the best restaurant I ever patronised. Thumbs up for this restaurant !

Had my grandpa’s birthday celebration at Guilin Restaurant! Out of all the dishes served, I liked the steamed fish the most! The meat is so tender and soft and smooth. The skin is very thin and the sauce totally helped to bring out the natural sweetness of the fish. It is not fishy at all! Very very appetizing! Love it!

My hubby and I went to Guilin restuarant for some dim sum breakfast over the weekend. The restuarant is nicely situated on top of the swimming pool at the sports complex so we could enjoy our meal and at the same time have a view at the crowded swimming pool. I particularly enjoyed the char siew buns. The buns were soft and fragrant while the char siew was very nicely marinated and fat free! It was an enjoying way to spend my weekend morning with my hubby this way.

a dish i strongly recommend is the har gou. the skin is not too thick and the prawn filling is very fresh. the prawn is very succulent and tasty. when you take a bite, there is some sweetness due to the freshness of the prawn. It was really good!
