A bit sad that it is not served with clotted cream. It is served hot, and tastes soft and buttery.

PULUT HITAM PUDDING ($11)
Homemade black glutinous rice cake pudding with artisanal fresh coconut ice cream &
coconut shavings.
I'm disappointed that it is ice cold in the centre. The dry longan in the sauce has chewy texture and quite flavourful in taste. The coconut ice cream has bits of coconut flesh in it.

PICK A DATE ($12)
In-house warm sticky date pudding, cream butterscotch & vanilla bean ice cream. Honest and
Rich.
The pudding is also having a bit of ice cold centre but not as bad. Lots of walnut in the sauce. Rich but a bit too much for me as I get sick of it after halfway through.

Overall the food is not bad. Staff is also quite friendly.

It tasted heavenly good because it is warm and crispy with a sweet taste of chocolate and cinnamon mixed.

Belgian Waffle Combo with 1 Scoop Ice Cream - $7. The waffle was unfortunately forgettable. Yes, it was fluffy, but nothing special. The Belgian chocolate ice cream that I chose also tasted pretty boring, just like normal chocolate ice cream that I usually have. The size was quite huge though, suitable for sharing.

Overall, I love the place (would be much better with lesser crowd), but not really for the food. I heard that they serve great brunch menus, hoping that someday I get the chance (and the willing) to come back for brunch. Their coffees and cakes look tempting also!

One of their chef's recommendation, this cheesy pasta is actually aglio olio served with cheesy sausages and slices of bacon. And the whole combination is just awesome. The anlio iteself has the fragrance and spiciness, and with the combo of the cheesy sausages and bacon, it brings the taste up to a new level!

AMBIENCE
This cafe is quite a good place to hang out and chill out with friends. It's not that big but has two storey to it. The space between tables is quite small, and hence one can easily eavesdrop the other table when you have no real intention to it.

PRICE
The food items are quite affordable, and has no GST and service charge. As such, order must be made and paid at the counter. Free flow of drinks is provided but also self-service.

Hazelnut coffee $5.90
Hazelnut coffee is one of the usuals that I order at cafes because I love it. The hazelnut flavour was present but it could be slightly stronger. The coffee was good and strong enough. The coffee art for this was a tad messy unlike the other cups of coffee that were ordered.

Truffle fries $9
Their truffle fries are dressed with fine grated parmesan. They were one of the best that I had tried because almost every one of those fries was crispy! I also love the cheese toppings. It would be perfect if the truffle taste was stronger though.

Ocean Linguine $16
grounded black pepper seafood aglio olio tossed with white wine
This was what I had. I wanted aglio olio and there were only 2 types of aglio olio on the menu so I got this. I tried all but I prefer the Ocean Linguine and Cheesynara Cream the best. There were 2 mussels and 4 prawns in it which I felt was reasonable. The prawns were not of the freshest quality though. The black pepper taste was not strong and it was not spicy too.

For a cafe, the food is reasonably priced and of reasonable quality. Their brunch menu looks more promising so I will probably be back to try them.

Black velvet.
I don't know if my memory of a Red velvet marred the experience on this. But it wasn't a very nice slice of cake. It was dry and the cream cheese wasn't very creamy or rich. Just very sweet.

And should we talk about the coffee? It was a pretty heart latte art. Good balance of milk and coffee but it took me close to an hour to get my coffee. I kid you not. I was all ready to walk out. it took me three enquiries and did I mention about having to clear my own table? Four staff outside but still short handed.

Sigh. Hope the girl got her wallet back and you guys do better if I ever do return.

Apparently, their truffle fries had some good reviews. But, it was just average, or somehow below average for me. Didn't taste much truffle oil from it. MacDonald's fries probably taste better. But, I'd be back to try other dishes. After all, there's no GST and you pay what you see on the list. Hooray to affordable food!

Finally, I'm here to try out habitat cafe after hearing review that it served brunch at an affordable price. I ordered The Shrooms, which consist of a brioche topped with poached egg and mushroom drenched with hollandaise sauce. I think it would be better if the serving size was bigger, but this dish was considered tasty as the egg were soft and runny. Next, the truffle fries was my favourite as it was hot and crispy when served. I will come back to try their other dish soon.

Prices are affordable, and it basically costed us around $43 nett for drinks, mains, and a truffle fries for 2 pax.

Ordered Ice Habitat Fusion Tea - Lychee ($4.90), and Ice Lemon-up ($4.50).

Hello Truffle Fries ($8.00) dressed with fine grated parmesan. Crispy and not oily

The Big Ben ($14.00) consists of scrambled egg & honey baked ham on english fluff, with chicken cheese sausage, oven baked tomato and mini potato pancakes. Runny scrambled eggs, and not forgetting about their potato pancakes which actually taste like hashbrowns - soft and crisp.

The Shrooms ($12.00) has poached egg & sauteed mushroom on brioche bread, topped with homemade hollandaise sauce. Seems like another main to go for.

Affogato here comes with the flexibility of choosing your preferred flavour of their homemade ice-cream. The Bailey’s Ice-Cream here is another item I love. On first taste the Bailey’s flavour may seem very light, but when you feel so the flavour starts to disseminate in your mouth in all corners. The espresso here is also one of the more stronger ones that I ever had so far; it was so aromatic that it’s fragrance just lingers after every sip.
