Signature Dishes
This stall at Woodgrove sells a range of roasted meat dishes such as Roasted/Steamed Chicken Rice ($3.00), Char Siew Rice ($3.00), Roasted Pork Rice ($3.00) and Roasted Duck Rice ($3.50). There are also noodles options for the same dishes for the same price, such as the Roasted Chicken Noodles ($3.00).The rice was quite firm and grainy although I didn't find it to be particularly fragrant. The chicken though, were quite tender and succulent. The soup came in a rather big bowl and had potatoes and chicken pieces in it, but taste-wise I thought it was okay. The chili looked quite diluted but fortunately it was spicy enough for me. Overall, the chicken rice certainly cannot be compared to the chicken rice from Loy Kee which is located just a stone throw away, but for the price I think this is quite okay.
