I always like to have handmade noodle when I was finding something soupy, the hearty warming bowl was more than enough to satisfy me. My first try at Hong Hu Express, there were no too many seat available. Typical Chinese-style culinary served, menu was straightforward. The pieces of noodle remained tender even through soaking in the soup, springy delightful. Strong fragrant with savoury spicy, the bowl was loaded by generous seafood. Soup was not too thickly starchy yet not overly diluted too.

This is my favorite combo - ban mian with fish slice. The fish the shop owner uses is the batang fish, which happens to be my favorite too. The fish used is fresh and "meaty", and one reason why I like batang fish is because even though the fish meat is overcooked, it still taste nice. Firm and chewy with no "fishy" smell. The amount of minced pork give is just nice and it seems that they do marinate the minced pork beforehand cos it doesn't taste like marinated pork. The noodles is cook perfect

Went there for lunch with colleagues. I ordered Fried Fish Noodle With Milk. First bite, the noodle was springy and chewy. The soup was not thick and a bit bland but without fishy taste, a bit disappointed. The proportion of the milk added into the soup was not milky. The fish was not crispy as previously. The fish is not really good as it have been soaked by the soup to an extreme level until it not crispy and it a bit oily too. Overall, the noodle was average.

I love their Minced Meat Noodles and maybe the spare ribs noodles. Tom yam noodles is also a great try. The noodles are so nice that I don't even remember to take the pictures of the food before I finished them.

Last but not least, please don't be scared of the oil on the plate. Try out their gyoza! Gosh, ain't it delicious?
