It has lots of meats in this restaurant. There was a lot of variation of food and cooked dumplings, chili crabs and fried buns.My friend really love their Tom Yum soup base, no wonder she recommended my mother and me to have steamboat buffet hotpot. She started the long weekend with scrumptious and unlimited tom yum soup!Ambience: Not so good because everybody were coughing and sneezing while we are having dinner. However, all of us enjoyed the moment after finishing our yummy dinner. continue reading

This steamboat restaurant was recommended by my friend if not I would not know there is this restaurant exist. For only less than $25 per adult, is cheap and filling. Restaurant is quite big but abit warm inside. Other than those usual steamboat items available here, I personally enjoyed the deep fried items served here, especially the deep fried man tou which are very soft inside and crispy on the outer layer. Many different types of instant noodles available here which is yummy and chewy. Restaurant staffs are friendly as well. continue reading

With great variety of food choices, My girlfriends and i always hold our steamboat gathering here at honghu! And its always the laksa soup base and chicken soup base a must for us to order. Laksa Soup: You can taste that the Coconut flavour isnt from those powder kind but its really coconut milk, and the spiciness can be made according to your liking. Of my gf and i always go for the spiciest! Chicken soup: Normal nothing just about it, but its just there for us to wash off the spicy feeling from the laksa! And another thing is, honghu always offer sambal chilli prawn for us, the consumer to eat! And its not those watery ones, but those chilli crab kind. There even mantou for you to dip into!Drinks are free flow and price are reasonable too. continue reading

For only $19.90 per adult, this steamboat buffet is cheap and delicious. Restaurant may not be spacious but still quite comfortable. Service here is friendly and polite too. The chicken and laksa soup base both are equally thick amd fragrant. Especially the laksa broth is spicy and appetizing. Sambal prawns are fresh and crunchy with unlimted serving which is generous. The different types of steamboat items are alot and portion displayed are generous too. continue reading

After a tiring day at work, I met up with my former colleagues for a filling dinner. For some reason, I was craving for steamboat so we all headed to Hong Hu restaurant. For $19.80+, you get unlimited servings of seafood, vegetables, and other ingredients. We chose the soup base first: Chicken and Tom Yum. The chicken soup had a very light flavour while the latter packed a punch. Tt seemed like it wasn't too spicy but after a few spoonfuls, my eyes were watery and I couldn't stop sniffing. Anyway, we dumped some veggies first since I read somewhere that's how you maximise your steamboat dining experience. Veggies tasted better with the tom yum soup. Then, we added the meats and seafoods. The crabs were quite meaty despite the small size. My friends and I also enjoyed the dessert selection, despite being very limited. The watermelon was very juicy. It was an exceptionally good dinner...it was so good that I felt like it was a Friday night. continue reading
