Believed peoples who ever went to Tsim Sha Tsui will know this, Egglet was so famous. Basically it was a Chinese-style waffle made from an eggy batter, something simple but satisfied. Few delicious flavours, patrons were spoilt for choices. Besides of traditional Original type, it has Chocolate, Chestnut, Pandan, Cheese, Chicken Floss, Spicy Shrimp and mixture. I opted for Chocolate, no further explanation needed actually. Number in queue, payment was required upon ordering.

Every little egg shape was soft chewy, slightly crunchy with generous fillings. Breakable perfect size to put into mouth, it was addictive. Sweetened paste of chocolate rolled inside, the combination with strong eggy fragrant was awesome. Definitely a great snack, the price was affordable at $2.00.

I first tried the pastries (is that what you call them?) when they first opened an outlet in Jurong Point and back then the choices were limited – plain, chocolate and some others. I tried the plain ones and found that while they were tasty while eaten hot, it just got quite boring to eat these after a while. Today they have expanded their menu and have more flavours such as strawberry, pandan and pizza. I fell in love with the pizza flavour ($3.80) as each egglet is practically bursting with flavour! They have done a good job replicating the pizza flavour and the egglets are garnished with ham and cheese. Yummy!

Bought it from this outlet at jurong point which took me nearly fifteen minutes to have my egglet ready for collection. The egglets was very crunchy and fresh. At merely $3.8 per piece, is consider quite affordable. The pizza flavour was quite flavourful and not too salty and quite appetizing. There is als9 mild cheese taste in it as well. Lots of people and was really inconvenience to take a photo shot of this stall .

The egglets are freshly made upon order and collections are based on numbering system. Yout queue number will be printed out on the receipt.

There are only 2 ladies manning the shop, one taking order and collecting of cash while the other making the egglets. Waiting time was about 10 minutes.

The paper bag which contains the egglets have alot of holes. This is to prevent condensation from taking place after placing the piping hot egglets into the bag. At the same time also maintaining the egglet's crunchiness and avoiding a packet of soggy egglets. Instructions had been properly pasted over the stall informing customers to avoid using plastic bag if they want to maintain the quality of food.

As I peeped through the opening of the paper bag, these egglets are clustered together and they looked awful to me.

I detached the egglets one by one from the cluster and popped them into my mouth. Cool! Ingredients comes with hams and cheese however what I find missing was that the pizza flavour are light. I would prefer something heavier like pizza flavour "pringles" chips.

There are alot of flavours available and I will want to try them in near future. For those who likes its originality should go for the original flavour.

I really love snacking on these egglets, so I always cannot help myself but to buy one packet whenever I happen to be in shopping centres where there is an outlet. The taste is not too bad, just that the cheese is unevenly spread (thus some part of the egglet tasted full of cheese and some dont at all). Best to eat it hot, cos it will taste not that good when it turns cold.

The first piece I had tasted really good, was piping hot, crispy on the outside and slightly soft and chewy on the inside. I was instantly bought over! I finished my first piece within 10mins, and decided to return to the stall to buy 3 more to share with my friends! The owner recognized me, so he asked me if I liked the food. I told him it was excellent, that was why I went back for more so that my friends can get to try too! As I ordered 3 cheese egglets, he told me that as a gesture to thank me for my support, he would give me extra cheese toppings for my orders!

The owners put in lots of pride and effort to ensure that their food is fresh and crispy at all times!

They punched many holes on the sides on the paper packaging so that the steam can escape and does not condense inside the packaging and cause the food to turn cold and soggy. They do provide plastic bags as carriers too, but strongly dissuade the use of it for the same reason. They want their customers to be able to enjoy the food as crispy as possible!

Egglet with Cheese topping, $2.80

The batter was well prepared, and the cheese further enhanced the flavour and crispiness.

Since then, I have made many trips back to this stall.
Once, I even travelled all the way from Tampines to Jurong Point just to eat the egglet.

If it each 'egg' is more, it will certainly taste much better and more worth the $2.

But just be prepared for the waiting time. You might not see many people around but the queue number might be quite long!

This stall provides original, chocolate, cheese and pork floss flavors. I buy the original flavor egglet. It was piping hot when they serve me the food which is wrapping with airing paper bag. Once I have a first bite, I feel that inside is chewy with the outer crispy coating. It is very fragrant and delicious and is also not too sweet. I like it.

I will sure to try all other flavors next time.

This stall serves original, chocolate, cheese and pork floss flavours, whereas cheese and pork floss are hardly found in HK, probably it is the stall owner’s invention here. Anyway, for my first try, I have original flavour plus Hongkong style milk tea.

Waiting time was less than 10 minutes, it was acceptable if only it was GOOD. The egglet was piping hot and milk tea was icing cold. I couldn’t wait to try the egglet, to my disappointment, each egg was too thin, hence, batter wasn’t enough for all egglet (too stingy), at the side of the egglets were half empty. Though it was really crispy, it has no filling inside each egg or very little only. I felt like I was eating crispy egg biscuits. It could be individual case, probably the one who made my order was putting too little batter!

Hong Kong style milk tea, to my surprise, this was authentic, bitter, smooth and not so sweet to taste.

There were three different flavours and I decided to try the pork floss ones. How I miss the taste of the hong kong ji dan zai. The wait was indeed long, with everyone curious about the new food. after about 15 minutes wait, I finally got my egglet. It was piping hot, the outer coating was crispy but the inside as chewy. The mixture was sweetish while the pork floss was salty so it gave this sweetish salty taste. it was very fragrant, got this buttery taste. It was really good, tasted like the authentic hong kong ones. I finished up everything by myself. It was so good, I intend to try all their flavours.
