Going through the Hong Kong Sheng Kee Dessert menu, I decided to order a plate of dry braised beef hor fun for early lunch.

Priced at S$7.90++

I like the silky texture of thin strips of Hor Fun which is a bit unusual from other restaurants.

There were a few pieces of chunk braised beef shanks and tendons cooked together with chunk white carrots.

The gravy that goes along with this dish was light and tasty. A few pieces of the blanched Hongkong baby Kai Lan
added freshness to this dish.

It would have been a better meal if the beef shanks are braised longer when the meat becomes extremely tender almost gelatinous.

After dinner, my friend and I went in to Hong Kong Sheng Kee just to try their durian crepe as one of our friends were raving about the goodness of it! We ordered two of it and was so excited for it to arrive! On the first bite, I can feel the cold fresh dollop of durian flesh in the crepe and on subsequent bites, it just melts in my mouth. So heavenly! Hong Kong Sheng Kee desserts are all pretty good and worth your buck!

Was looking for a place to have dessert at bedok point and the choices are quite limited. So we came to Hong Kong Sheng Kee Dessert, which is like a typical Hong Kong cafe. Not knowing what is good or famous here, we ordered Mango pudding as it is a simple dish, kinda hard to go wrong. The pudding is soft and slippery and it literally melt in my mouth. Overall, i will be back here to try out other desserts in future

All price does not include 7% GST. We will have to order and make payment at the cash counter first. We are given a number to place at our dining table. The staff will serve us with our orders according the number on the table.

I had this quite some time ago, but it was quite unforgettable because it was a promotional dessert during some festival (i think); had to try it because it's quite unique and unlike your common desserts like mango pomelo sago. This is actually yam paste wrapped with sweet potato and topped with gingko nuts, drizzled with coconut sauce. It is a very filling dessert, but quite a nice combination of yam and potato. Looks cute as well

Mango Pomelo Sago SGD4.90 per serving. The presentation is decent enough and the colour of the mango is beautiful. As for the taste wise, the syrup is very thick with mango taste.

This is a typical HK style cafe that sells simple main courses such as dumpling noodles and variety of desserts. Tried this warm Ginger Milk pudding ($3.30) which I think tastes kinda similar to all those being served in the typical HK style desserts eateries in Singapore - nothing special. Hence, I think most people who visited this place is merely out of convenience.

After shopping around, I decided to rest my legs and have a dessert. I happened to see this dessert shop earlier when I entered Bedok Point and hence I made my way back there for dessert. I got the red bean soup. The red bean soup is quite nice with the red beans not cooked until too mashy. It isnt too sweet as well, which is what I like. Service was a little slow though, I had to wait around 10minutes even though there are only a few customers.

The Sheng Kee at Bedok Point has a $6.80 value meal which consists of a snack of either carrot cake or yam cake, a choice of noodle and a choice of dessert. For noodle, you can choose dry noodle with mince pork, noodle with char siu or noodle with dumpling. For dessert you can pick sesame paste, almond paste or red bean. The noodles are like those HK style and you get a separate bowl of soup if you order dry version. This is a value for money set which you can also takeaway. My mince meat nood

My mince meat noodle has nice springy noodle and the meat sauce was not bad, if only it has a bit more sauce. The black sesame dessert was good as it did not have burnt after taste.

They have a rice meal set for the same price but you get rice with a main dishes and an ice milk tea. I ordered the pork rib rice for my dad which he says is not bad. It is cooked in a Nam Yue (fermented red beancurd) sauce. Other rice dishes include Pork Belly with Mui Choy.

Don't get deceive by the crowd...My sis had the Mango Pomelo for $4.70 which was super not worth the price tag. It wasn't fresh mango used totally, it was made up of syrup. I would say it is pretty deceiving!I had the Honey Dew which was decent enough. It was honey dew ice cream beneath and taste alright. Still for the price tag of $4.20 I rather have some quality ice cream else where.

Mango sago is my most favourite cold dessert of all times so I was very interested when I saw this $2 mango pomelo sago with mango pudding offer at this dessert store. Furthermore, the original price for a bowl would cost around $4 during normal times.I was truly disappointed when I saw the serving. It looked more to me like a bowl of yellow syrup with a few stuff on it. I could only manage to eat 4 tiny pieces of mango pudding with not much pomelo and sago floating around. Within less than ten

Now I know where not to go whenever I have my mango pomelo sago craving.
